When one of my sisters was born, the elder sister was heartbroken and wouldn’t stop crying because…….she wanted a black one!! Mum and dad had to buy her the exact same little black dolly as you have there. She was the happiest, proudest little girl as she had her black baby.

I’m with you, if I can purchase 2nd hand, I will do. Except for appliances as I like a fresh, new warranty along with them. Our Salvation army in our tiny little town is a tiny shop, the one you shared is quite big!!

I have had quite a few second hand fridges and freezers. Washing machines aren’t built to last though, so our current one was purchased new.

Oh those caserole dishes with lids, from Royal Worcester, I got them as a wedding gift in 1997. Never used though! 🙈

Hi Jane, I hope Archie is feeling a lot better now. I'd be interested to see how much the Quail cats make for your mum. A few years ago, my mother in law bought me a Quail cat money box from a gift shop. Are they an old brand?

Yes, they are vintage. Not sure if they still make them. I grouped them into three lots at £17.50 each, so they aren’t worth a massive sum. But it all adds up!

Frustrating, Linda! Funnily enough, the £3 jeans fit him perfectly and he loves them. The shop is in Braintree, not far from Freeport, but heading from there towards the town centre - near Wicks
