this is the orchestral version with actual dragonspeak lyrics. The original one that you hear in the game vs King Thordan is different, and is just nonsensical latin-like lyric.

Going through DSR right now I was thinking "man, I wish there was an orchestral for Heroes. It would have been perfect for phase 2. Oh well, I'll just listen to it again" Now that I know there _is_ it's actually a shame it wasn't used. _Why_ did they have to use the base one? This would have been so much better. Edit: Thinking about it more it kinda makes sense. For phase 2 they needed a looping song since it'd be looping for the entire phase 2 prog, and however long people sit there talking. Further phases can throw in music that doesn't loop since the fight designers can have the phase enrage wipe by the end of the orchestral version.

The way songs loop in ffxiv actually does make it able to make a looping version for this song too. I'm pretty sure they don't do it for DSR is because only Heroes and Revenge Twofold are allowed to be used and only having phase 2 have an orchestrated song as well as the final phase it probably just too jarring or something

Heavensward and Dragonsong have orchestrated versions but I think since they are from Distant Worlds they technically can't use it for FFXIV.

They use primal version for p2 & p3 on TEA, not the original one @@verdantmischief7092, its there , why not use it on p2?

Dragon King Thordon is supposed to be our parallel to "The Final Steps of Faith" which Revenge Twofold was originally made for. Im assuming Soken wanted to finally be able to use it in the context it was composed for. That being said not using this somewhere in DSR was a massive L
