Been looking forward to Les for a long time. Not the most famous or hipster of your guests but, along with Bob, one of my most loved. Such a warm and humble man. A funny and respectful interview Richard, thank you.

What was great about this was I grew up watching Les. Now perhaps humble and able to tell factual events that touched say me, but just as funny if not more so, and in RSC! Long may he live. Out of #213, one of the best. Thanks Rich for allowing Les to talk and do the humour without effort.

Pleasantly surprised by how good that was. Very diplomatic of Herring to skirt round during the Gervais bit. Good judgement as he's not usually well known for keeping his opinion about certain people and things quiet. He's genuinely a really intuitive interviewer

Love how he knows exactly what everyone wants to hear, has an anecdote about it and then a joke and if there's a gap he says "do you want to ask me about....?"

What a lovely, lovely interview. So many years of watching Les, from being a child back in the 80's until now it's almost as though he's been a constant friend of the family. Such a nice guy and you obviously have affection for each other Rich. One of the great podcasts parlez.

Love the badminton joke, I wasnt even that hard... I got beaten up by the kids who weren't even hard enough to play D&D with the kids who weren't hard enough to play badminton. But in later life I have managed to find where they live and I am slowly picking them off one by one, not sure what I will win at the end? It beats being bitter about it though.
