This version of Alone, Omen 3 sounds so light and weighted simultaneously. When he plays those soft and quick notes in the beginning, it feels like you're dangling your feet off of a small cliff, feeling like the wind could pick you up any minutes. Then, as he sings and plays louder and fuller chords, you feel a shadow overcast you, and the air gets a bit tighter. The studio version is a great variation, but this version is so nuanced and defined. Definitely wish he went into this route with the album, but I'm glad to know he has the capability. Such a promising and delightful artist

@@szemranyotrzyk9377 i like the sentiment alot, however, his lyric and noir punk style is all about coping alone with sorrow and having a troubled past. i mean, except for easy easy, all the songs are breakup songs. like i will (but here: wont) survive. i think that helped alot in making him a big name. just the song rock bottom, it resonated hugely and deeply emotionaly with loners who have loved and lost, the mirror of the polyamorous wave...

I’ve grown to love both the studio albums and the live stuff but the first thing I heard was my brother showing me live on the moon and then I heard the studio album and I immediately thought man this sounds like shit when their not live😂 but both are their own thing especially the live performances

I think I do prefer the actual sound of his songs live, they sound so emotional and intense but I also like how other worldly his songs sound on his studio albums and I appreciate how he has separated those sounds because it's like you have two different King Krules to listen to haha

I use to listen to 0:36 everyday when this came out. It would be freezing winter in 2019 and I would sit at the back of the bus on the way to high school shivering. The visual, the rawness of archys voice and guitar notes, the ambient noises of an early UK winter morning came together to create warmth. Thankyou Archy.

These newer tracks are so much different from his older periods. He's happier, he's got somebody he loves and a child to pour his hear and soul into, and you can just see how much less depressed he is because of this. It makes me feel like something good can happen to me, cause it's all such a funny life

I'm originally from Warrington and moved to London when I was 18 to follow my dream of being a Film Director. In 2020 I began listening to King Krule. His and the band's music pretty much got me through Lockdown and made me feel at ease. He very quickly became my favourite artist and is to this day. I've never related more to, not just a piece of music, but to a piece of art. The sonic landscapes he creates, especially in this album, sounded so familiar. In winter 2020 I was listening to a podcast he was on, he begins talking about Man Alive! and his life and then I find out he's living to and from London and Warrington, writing part of this album in the North West. The stretching power lines surround my village, the grey clouds never leave the sky, and the power station above is right by my home - it's silhouette defines my childhood. Man Alive! sounds so weirdly relatable for me because it sonically captures the very truth of this town. That's why Archy and the band are such geniuses and will forever be my biggest inspirations - They perfectly translate emotions and feelings of something completely abstract into something entirely tangible. The level of artistic nuance is almost frightening. Absolutely loving Space Heavy, loved the London show this year and thanks for making me feel at home no matter where I am in the world.

i wish that i was more into king krule when this came out. i've been exploring his music much more since this pandemic started and its been so helpful to me. i don't feel so alone when i listen to archy sing :) when this came out i only knew baby blue, rock bottom, and easy easy... a little sad honestly, but iv'e found so much more and i've found comfort in his music.

I’m diggin how there is almost a psychedelic emphasis on different sounds in this recording. At times it sounds static and foggy and then it clarifies and clears in moments he really wants you to listen. Beautiful!

I like this comment especially in the context of this video because Krule has definitely been accused of “having an ugly voice,” but it’s the way he utilizes it and injects into his music, coupled with his lyrics that make it so beautiful.

i used to sit in my car at the beach sad about a breakup with my ex girlfriend at 19 years old listening to this when it dropped. 4.5 years later and everything is fine. it’s always fine :) very fond memories of listening to this when i was down though.

I thought the same thing! I think he’s happier. He’s a father now and while I know that wouldn’t cure depression, it seems like it’s a good thing for him. He’s smiling more in his pictures/being cheerful but archy is so private it’s hard to fully know for sure.

When this came out in November My ex and I would listen to this constantly anticipating the new Archy record, I have the record and It hurts to listen to the album recorded versions now, The memories of her are too much to handle sometimes but I love King Krule:(

Try not to listen to archy in a way that you think of your ex man, archy makes his music for himself and probably wants you and others to see your own worth etc through his music as you listen rather than attach something painful to it, it gets better and I’m sure you’ve realised it now 7 months later :)

16 minutes of very raw wavy lo-fi guitar tones mixed with such a personal voice, so pure, he's always surprising me with plenty of rare emotions... The imagery, the transitions, the late day sunset mood, the wavy guitar, background noises, setting, lofi quality, and beautiful wavy guitar and ambient punchy synth all help make this video such a big cohesive masterpiece.
