This was her triumphant return song. After Def Jams screwed her over. She took a two year hiatus from creating music. Helped Tom boost his career, then Tom made the track and said it's your turn. She cried because of the gift laid at her feet and gave us this dope song. Great reaction!

Can you both and we all just take a moment to truly appreciate the entire picture here - a power couple in the music industry that is doing everything by themselves setting the YT and Spotify on fire with their lyrics, their hooks, their style, their personality, their message - and doing all of this for us the fans and each other. she shot, directed her own video she sang in and then produced it. That's not just great that's phenomenal. These two are a masterclass in how to do it. I love this song - it's so inspiring and liberating. Thanks for listening - I can tell you both loved it. Tom wrote the chorus/hook, and when he presented it to Nova, it made her cry it was that powerful. This was her power anthem to step out from the shadow of the record label that oppressed her. So it means so much to her and you can tell how much emotion in her song.

This was mainly directed at Def Jam she was signed with them and things went bad and she fought tooth and nail to get out of her contract. I heard she was mailing them dead bugs and all kinds of things till she annoyed them into negotiating her departure.

This is the song that came outta her after everyone, including family, started saying things to her day after day like "Why are you acting like this", "you've changed", and "I want my Nova back", and the thing was she didn't "change", she just stopped doing the things everyone else wanted her to do or thought she should be doing, and started being herself and doing exactly what she wanted to do, and the way she wanted to do it.
