Not used a CB radio in about 26 years just looking around checking to see how everything has changed. Been thinking about getting back into it and came across your channel may have to hit you up for some advice and equipment since you are a TN guy and I find myself out on the east side of the state several times a year visiting friends and family

HG transistors put out a little more wattage than toshibas. Plus the amplifier is setup for class C operation on AM radio mode.. Good amplifier. Screamer

Great video rooster👍 numbers on point with the Toshiba pills. what I like is if someone decides to run it at 15 volts that thing Will do 1200 Peak!

@42Zero_Pizzaman_Tampai have a 4 pill been pushing that hard for over a year and still going. I can't speak for everybody else's situation they may have bad coax. high swr who knows. as for mine they're still going strong. They'll always be the naysayers. The Toshiba pills are gone! and the 2879 C's are the future. so got to work with what you got.

QUESTION... I HAVE THAT SAME SET UP BUT I HAVE THE SILVER EAGLE 200 IT HAS HIGH AND LOW I ALSO HAVE THE COBRA 25 IT'S BEEN TUNED TO GO WITH THE AMPS CAN I DRIVE IT ON HIGH OR DOES IT HAVE TO BE ON LOW ALL THE TIME

You don't have to, but for max power yes. 100 watts should give 750+

Takes more voltage, more drive, and produces a little more output than the standard 2879

If someone could make sc2879s here in America that would be fablus dude wouldn't it. I enjoy your videos dude. Like I said Im here by myself all my family and friends are gone. My son an my nephew, my ex wife who is my best friend is it. Im 68 and 51 years running 48 states driving every type of truck on the road. My body is worn out. Bought a G3 tunnel hull Yamaha 115 jet little over 18ft long an barely lift my leg to get in it. Bass an musky is our game on the New River. Have a good one friend. Me and Jason Lewis of JOKERMAN electronics are very good friends. He's building Hawaii type amps, and he's built some things for me. Sorry about rambling on an on but I don't have but one best friend to talk about JESUS to thats my ex wife so im wind jammering you to death. My son is in trucking business also as my beloved brother. We ran alot together before he passed away an all our friends were truckers an they are gone. Funny thing my good ole daddy was the police chief here for 50 years. He did not like us bringing our bear dogs in laying them at the door till we pulled out on Sunday mornings. Bear dog best electronics we owned. Anyway son ive blown enough, just noone to talk to. Have a good one. 73s an keep ya powder dry.

when your in none peak reading mode you humming yelling audio is not how you do that its just for dead key you only use voice when in peak reading mode and really you should use a tone

People like to see average forward power as a reference. If I didn't show average forward power people would be complaining, because again it's used as a common reference in the hobby. You really should start your own youtube channel and show everyone how it's done. Let me ask you this, when you talk on the radio is it with a tone or with your voice? End of discussion. If you don't like how things are done on this channel , no one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to watch. Start your own channel or go to burger king, so you can have it your way. Btw since we're educating people, you misspelled "your" it's actually you're in this context. You also misused "its" instead of it's. Furthermore, your entire comment was one huge run on sentence, smart guy.

Average is more important than peak and your radio plays a big factor in that. Peak is just brief burst of that wattage. Two amps doing 1000 peak, one doing 200 and the other doing 400, the one doing 400 will be stronger on the air.
