Recently HiBoy sent me another scooter to review and I was excited to try this one out.
The HiBioy S2 Max has a large deck, decent sized battery and a 500 Watt motor that was able to propel me to about 20mph/32 KPH around my city navigating smaller hills with ease. I found the geometry of the scooter to be excellent and the height of the handlebars comfortable for my large 6' frame. After riding it for these past few days I think it would be an excellent scooter for commuting or cruising around the city. It doesn't have suspension but does have large 10" air filled tires which I found quite comfortable.

@@TimsElectric I’m looking to keep it under $1000.. looking at either Niu3 max, hiboy max, or something by Segway.. What do you recommend? I’m 6ft 270lbs and round trip going 3 miles with minor hills

Hey great review. I just ordered one because I wanted a good entry level scooter that won't break the bank. I got it for $549 with discounts so? The air filled tires shouldn't be a problem. They will get some flat out tire sealant in them to avoid punctures. Plus air filled tires give a way better ride. Looking forward to getting my new ride.

@@progression_decibel I got it directly from Hiboy. The posted price was $629. but I used an on line discount code of $80. Bringing the price down to $549. Sorry but I didn’t keep that code. You may try googling for it though. But even at $629 it’s still a good value. Good luck!

I ordered mine I'm excited. Do the tires need topped off psi out of the box? Also which is the best way to padlock this thing?

Can you review the v2 fluid freeride horizon and compare it to the hiboy s2 max and competitor scooters in the price range

but it does have suspension...which means I'd compare it with the Inmotion S1 instead :)

not yet...I expect once the province does their assessment in the pilot cities and towns then it will be rolled out...could be years :(

I'd go with the Max...bigger battery so less range anxiety and better performance on cold days :)

Which is better scooter between Emove Touring vs Hiboy S2 Max?

that's a good question. right now I'm using the HiBoy a lot ...just got home on it. The light is great, the deck is large, it's fast enough for getting around town. Brakes are better on the Emove...ride is probably better on the Emove. Range is similar....tough question...it would depend on what you were going to use it for the most. What's the plan?

@@TimsElectric Thanks Tim! I buy it for my wife and it's on sale for $750.00 on Amazon. Emove Touring is $850. I already have Emove Touring and I don't know if I should the same one for my wife.

Oh I see...I liked them both...but if you have one already, then I'd get the one you have again (even if it was a HiBoy) as you know how they ride, you can figure out issues if there's a problem and she's probably already tried yours ..if she likes it then get the same again :)

I just rode mine today...it's super simple and love the cruise control ...makes life so easy :) Hope she loves it :)

@Sighs Internally I was worried about the range too...but it's been awesome. Interestingly on my KQi3 Pro. After I did the review, the weight limit increased to 265lbs (which is what I weigh) What happened was that the company Niu, got added certifications in Germany I think...anyway the model is now up to 265lbs and even funnier, my face will be on the side of the boxes when you order one saying big guy approved or something similar :)

That burger dance was LEGENDARY! I totally agree, the 500 watt motor does a very good job. I found the nice quiet motor, smooth ride on pavement, and nice feeling grips great. Looking forward to both your review or “final” (Tim) review on the new E-TWOW GT SPORT. I just received my sport and am very impressed with top speed ! Down hill I get 30-31mph (gps) and 26-27 on straight. Cruise is nice , but a little finicky imo. Battery dries up quick 🤨 compared to my GT SE that only tops at 22mph (gps). I’ll probably swap the Samsung pack from the SE into the Sport if it’s plug and play 👍🏻.

wow...you got right into the numbers there Ray! So awesome and thanks for sharing :) I need to do a speed check on mine...which app do you use for the gps speed? I did my first review of the GT Sport and released it :) Here it is: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mZ2frd2drtPIaJ8.html Loved it :) Next video will be a follow up...what I like/don't like...so far you're right, I don't like the power drop when it hits 40% battery ...I preferred the GT SE in that regard. Otherwise, I'm loving it :)

@@TimsElectric so true. I just noticed that today. After 40% it dropped like a brick. (Update: 7/02/22 I actually caused the overheat fail safe to kick in at 54.4 Celsius. This caused a decrease in power and near shut off. My weight and a big hill are to blame 😬.) With higher speed comes higher heat levels especially if the person on the scooter weighs a bit (220lbs) 😁 Tim, I used the “speedometer” app off of apple store. I do like that it shows on the display either the controller or motor temperature. Too bad the voltage from the GT SE display couldn’t have been carried over to the sport !
