The Glock 19 was the first gun I ever purchased about 4 years ago. I now have 12 guns bc of how addicting this hobby is haha it’s still my favorite gun BY FAR though. It’s reliable, easy to maintain, simple to learn, and fairly accurate for 99.9% of shooters looking for a great first gun. Seriously one of the best guns on the market

I never have gotten how people can be accurate like this guy with any handgun. It feels like using a hammer without the handle because that’s sort of what it is. I’m impressed and certainly appreciate the skill it takes to aim what’s basically a fraction of a rifle and hit an intended target. It puts in perspective 10,000 rounds down range might be what it takes to get familiar. I’m just rambling anyhow. N.Y.P.D. ; ret. Started with the S&W MP .38. Transitioned to the 17. When I retired the 19 Gen 5 MOS, became my carry. I twerked it a bit with a Apex Tactical trigger and Trijicon night sights. But living in Florida now, I carry the 29. Perfect for 2 and 4 legged threats. In the Navy I was issued the M9, and transitioned to the Sig 226, never had a problem with either. They were just a bit "heavy". The 29 answers my particular needs for power and concealed carry. As far as getting on and staying on target, the 19 is the best call. 10 mm ammo can be a pain to find at times, but I think it is making a resurgence. I just prefer a sub-compact. PS-make no mistake, contracts go to the lowest bidder. All of the above are reliable and will preform well in the right hands. Happy Holiday's and God Bless.

@@juliekavanaugh4993 well cz is the in thing here on our side of the big blue sea, a buddy of mine got a PO7 before i got my glock, the has about 5k more rounds through his handgun than me, last time we went shooting we decided to "swing" a bit and swapped firearms, the cz felt alot better in my hand than my glock but when it came to shooting on the other hand my grouping was alot worse despite the much better trigger. He on the other hand got a much better grouping with my G17 than with his cz. Now none of us shoot good, so take that info as you may. Handguns are like just the hammer head of a hammer with no handle. They’re a fraction of a rifle and insanely hard to develop accuracy. If ones going to be successful in driving in a nail, it sure takes some serious skill and/or can be very particular for what works vs what is practically a useless broken tool. I appreciate and respect those who have developed such a skill. For me I don’t even pretend to think carrying is a smart idea. I know there’s people who absolutely have been misled by firearm marketing to think they’re safer by carrying but in reality…ya know what I’m sayin. I’m just rambling but saw that ‘don’t leave home without it’ and thought that’s not necessarily true for everyone like yourself who has put in the work to develop the most important side of handguns- the skill to drive a nail with just the head of a hammer- so to speak. @@audimaster5000 Reasonable "gun battle accuracy" can be easily taught if you have the right teacher. I've taught hundreds of people, many of whom had never shot a pistol. I'd also prefer that anyone who has practiced significantly with a firearm to be carrying it at all times regardless of laws. I'm not interested in firearm or other marketing. (And I've never been sold a product by an ad, or a phone call, or a door-to door salesman. I approach everything in life as a problem to be solved, and then I either research until I find a solution or I make my own solution) I do probably have a bias based on shooting an average of 10,000 rounds per year if you combine rifle, pistol, and shotgun rounds, as well as having grown up in a situation where we hunted or fished for or raised and killed our food, and also having had many shots fired at me while serving in the Army.

@@audimaster5000I see what your saying but the reason you carry a pistol over a long arm is practicality. Sure your underpowered and overmatched compared to a rifle but your still lethal. That's a hell of a lot better than being unarmed and helpless and the reason you carry a firearm to begin with is for just in case you need it. If you have it with you all the time your whole life and never end up needing it than what harm have ya caused? Now ask yourself what happens if that one time in your entire life you actually need one and don't have it. Remember. You only gotta buy it once. You don't have to feed or water it, it's easy to hide and doesnt take up much space. I feel that no harder than it is to keep it with you a person should carry. Lots of people that are still alive today because them or someone around them were carrying.

G26. With a G19 mag and x-grip extension, it's nearly identical to the G19. Except you also have the option to use a G26 mag for concealability. The only disadvantage compared to a G19 is a slightly shorter sight radius.

1st off, Glocks are not cheap junk. They are the most modular, aftermarket-supported pistols on the market. They run, are accurate out of the box, and can swap calibers with a simple barrel change. That said, they aren’t as sexy or satisfying as Beretta and Sig steel pistols. Not even close. They all have their place. If I had it my way I’d have Beretta and Sig with all the modularity of Glock, but that’s cake and eating it too.

When I was very, very new to guns, and deciding what I'd want as a first gun, I was definitely a Glock hater. I was freaked out over the lack of external manual safety, I was freaked out about striker-fired pistols, and I just had this irrational perception that Glocks were favored by criminals for some unknown reason. I was a diehard Sig guy, instead, literally only for reasons I now completely disagree with. I was dumb, immature, and knew nothing. Well, I was living in a bad place for gun rights anyway, kind of ended up with a .22 LR target pistol from Ruger after jumping through a million hoops, and never carried a gun for self defense at all. I was also not really a fan of the AR-15 for the longest time, too, but that's another story about me being ignorant and immature. Well, I grew up some more, got my head on straight, and ended up really appreciating Glocks after all. I now hate external safeties. I think the AR is the best rifle platform ever made. I own an absurd number of Glocks, just to collect them. As a hobby, I build my own Glock clones, and customize them every which way. Truth be told, what converted me to Glocks was the 10mm Glocks. I think 9mm Glocks are the most practical, and the Glock 19 the most practical of all, but dangit it would be impossible to get me to give up my Glock 20. I don't live in Alaska. Still, I'm up against black bears, and black bears are no joke either if one gets hungry enough, or wants to mess with my livestock. To me, it's among my most valuable tools on my farm. I open carry it. I don't always bother to conceal that I'm carrying if I need to hop in my truck and go to town on a quick errand. Where I'm at, this doesn't bother anyone, and if it did I wouldn't care. I'll downsize to a concealed 9mm if it's really going to be an in town day, though. But I hate going into town and I've worked hard to be as self-sufficient as possible on my property so I can stay home where the 10mm stays on my hip most of my waking hours.

Excellent video! I don't own a Glock because they don't fit well in my hand, but I have no doubt that they are work horses and extremely reliable.

I'm in love with my Glock 17 Gen 4, the finger grip, fiber sights, flawless grouping from 25 yards. My Five Seven is the only thing I would choose over it, just because, 5.7x28

Ive got every 9mm glock made, some i even have multiples of. My most used one is the 43x with 15 rd shield arms magazines. They run flawlessy, and it's basically a smaller, easier to conceal g19 now.

Hickok45 I was anxiously waiting for you to pull out a Glock 27 somewhere. Because from watching you for so many years I knew that was one of your favorites. LOL but no Glock 27 today

at first you did the best with the 17 but then you went on an absolute tear with the 19! excellent video all around. I know you love the 30 as well and kinda wish I saw it on here perhaps with and x grip but as you mentioned with all your firearms and all things considered... anyway now I really want a 19

I fired my first Glock this last summer. Shot a 19 and a 23 . My daughter's father-in-law is a retired deputy sheriff. They were his guns. Out of the two I like the Glock 23 the best period so much that I went and bought one. And I have enjoyed it every since

Oof, you made the poorer choice between those two. 9mm is the way to go. Cheaper, similar performance to .40, higher capacity, slightly less recoil, etc.

I agree on keeping my Glock 19 given those choices. I own or have owned many of the same Glocks. However, I would choose my Glock 48 for the slimmer grip if Glock factory mags were available with a few more rounds of ammo (13+ vs. 10).

The Gen 3 Glock 19 is still my all-time favorite polymer pistol, but the Glock 45 is starting to slowly see more Range time. For now though, the 19 is the last I would ever consider getting rid of.
