Day 3-5 of our road trip to Denver brings us to see some hidden gems in Kansas! Our first stop is in Wichita Kansas to see the Keeper of the Plains! Day 4 brings us to see Mushroom Rocks State Park (Brooksville, KS), Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park (Oakley, KS), and Monument Rocks State Park or otherwise known as the Chalk Pyramids (Oakley, KS). We hope that this video gives you some ideas on things to do in Kansas!

I liked your video. I lived in Kansas most of my life from 7the grade on. One place you need to check out is the city of Lawrence Ks. I am a graduate of Haskell Indian Nations University. I am originally from South Dakota. I am an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota tribe. Haskell has an amazing cultural museum on campus as well as a small cemetery on campus in honor of the many children from different tribes who passed away. Very moving. Lawrence is not all about the University of Kansas. KU is a beautiful campus and Lawrence has a very unique diverse community. I recently moved to Texas, have never lived there before but watching your video is amazing. Thank you.

The other Mushroom Rock is bigger and more impressive. There are two that look like a mushroom. We visited this past summer and almost missed the actual Mushroom Rock, we thought the one with the carvings on it was Mushroom Rock. I grew up in Kansas and had never been so we decided to do a Weekend tour of the state, went to Monument Rocks, Castle Rock and Mushroom Rock.

Don’t understand why people need to carve like that to leave their names, it’s so sad. I was about to say the same thing you said then, “never imagined that you would see that in Kansas! It’s not how I imagined it! Cool places!!!! And is interesting that you’re showing this, states where people don’t go so often! 👍 Lots of pizza! Yummy!!! It’s sweet that you provided Interesting facts and info along the walks! 🥰 The canyon is really beautiful! I thought that you guys are traveling in a van! So you’re staying for your jobs at hotels?
