I've built up quite a collection of Moraknivs over the years, but which MORA should you choose?
Here I review my collection of Mora Knives to help you decide which ones you need to add to your kit.
PLEASE NOTE: I am not being paid by Morakniv to bring you this video, these are genuine knives from my kit.

Not sure that red handled one is the Mora Robust. I think it's called something like the basic 511....

Good vid. I've also read good things about the Morakniv Garberg, too.

Good selection! I've been using a Companion for years in my work in nature and landscape (hedge) management. It is a fantastic tool to have on my belt all day, using and abusing it for all kinds of tasks. One of the ways it is a practical knife for me is the ability to take it out without having to take off my leather work gloves (working with thorny bushes and barbed wire). It is a stainless one, which means I don't have to maintain it as well, but a downside I find is that it is a bit harder to sharpen. In my free time the Black is one of my go to knives to take with me for crafting in the woods.

Well done Nick! You have a way of making things look easy and accessible. I’ve been recently noticing how just going through the motions of carving, and other simple bush craftings, open up that beautiful “head space” that you talk about. Thanks for all you do

Knives are great tools, and a bit of whittling goes a long way to calming the mind. I have several different knives in my collection but not yet got a Mora, my favourite is the 'Bushcraft' from Jack Pike, I've had it for years, it has an 8.5 inch full tang, 4 inch blade, 1/8 inch thick in 440 stainless, and has two finger cutaways for finer control, they are going for less than 20 squids, highly recommend them ✊😁

The reason the companion is my favourite is that the knife actually clicks in place into the sheath and won’t fall out even if you hold it upside down and smack the sheath with your hand.

Thank you. I enjoyed that. Well explained without going into the nitty-gritty of bevel degrees and length of Scandi-grind etc. I also get in to that ‘headspace’ you mention. I really get absorbed in the piece of wood and the different holds cut or shave differently. It is a real tonic for my bouts of anxiety. Once I’m in the woods, I’m always late home again🤦🏻‍♂️. Thanks for producing the video. Paul.

I just wish Mora would put a lanyard hole in their "companion" ,and similar knives, at the manufacturing stage. It would save a lot of "fannying around" with DIY attempts to get one !

Like countless bushcraft enthusiasts before me, my first knife was a Mora Companion. It's a lovely little knife and great value for money. However the blade felt a touch too thin on certain heavier tasks and I was concerned I might break it. Owing to this I replaced it with a Mora Garberg. I bided my time and was able to pick one up in a sale.
