I wondered how the dwarves were going to compensate for the height disadvantage. I forgot that dwarves are great weapons makers. LOL.

This actually represents how the War of the Beard/Vengeance went pretty aptly. Both the elves and dwarfs poured all their efforts to destroy the other, and while the elves certainly lost, you can't really say the dwarfs "won" in the sense of the word (they were so depleted by the war, they were poorly prepared when the Greenskins and Skaven came for them).

Also many disasters came along. Earthquakes and chaos storms punished the already damaged dwarf fortresses and the Skaven started attacking from below. High in the mountains beastmen, ogres and orcs started attacking the gates and many dwarf cities fell to never be recovered.

Those earthquakes and disasters were the elves fault too. It was Naggaryth falling into the sea that did it. Even their island was shoddily made!

personally i would have had the cavalry going from the sides targeting the cannons and flamethrowers/flame buckets and have the archers target the flame buckets, might have changed the outcome. great vid either way, love these cinematic battles.

Agreed, when I played it on the table I always sent in Cav and Fast Cav harassing the artillery and flanks. Also walking your magic user - which are High Elf powerhouses out in front of a gun line solo......not gonna happen either.

The player is controlling all the troops how the move or when,even special castings,you don't see them in the video,but the player moves all of them to make it look 'realistic'

The elves REALLY ought to learn that offering to give the dwarves a haircut and a beard trim is a VERY bad idea. Honestly, for an elder race considered so high and mighty, they really lack that higher brain smarts. Pointy eared idiots. Regardless, that was a truly spectacular battle and I can’t wait to see what else comes next in future. 😊

You still expected the Elves to win even after all of the cannon they got hit with at the beginning of the battle, all of the satchel charges they took to the face and the streams of flames they bathed in? If you paid attention you would've seen the Elven army growing thinner and thinner past half way of the battle

I have to disagree, I'd say due to the advanced technology of the skaven and the ridiculous magic of the tomb kings and vampire counts, I'd say that either a) the dawi would be eliminated or b) be corrupted.

Dude I love this battle and your cinematics, you can actually *see* what's going on, there's an actual battleline being used, I mean that can still happen in multiplayer but only at the very beginning, or never at all, or very very little is seen, (with kiting and stuff like that). I love the colors the Elves here are wearing too, white, a symbol that means death, and maybe, war for them. Could you perhaps make an army of High Elves like this against Chaos? I kind of wish you could do better formations in the game. I remember in Shogun you could do loose formation for your units if you were under artillery or missile fire. Additionally dwarven weapons don't make any sense when you're stunted and have a short reach but have a great deal of physical strength it would make a lot of sense to be wielding pole arms.......

The elves of Tolkien (specifically Sindar) had good reasons to quarrel with them. Noldor elves (Part of the High elves) are friendly with Dwarves.

@@lloyd623 No, this quarrel is for another reason. In Warhammer, it is the dwarves' resentment against the pride and vanity of the elves and their bullshit. In other fantasy universes like D&D, Lords of the Rings ect ... I can not explain except the fact that they are naturally contrary (the elves represent ecology while the dwarfs are the industry).

There should be some slayers who guard the dwarven artillery at the backline. High Elves got high mass units and cavalry in almost every scenario, so It's essential for dwarves to bring some anti-large
