It's so lovely to be back out again on season 2 - I've really missed being out on a regular basis recording these videos! And what a way to begin the season! A ride on a steamer, incredible scenery and wild weather made for a wonderful day in the Lake District!

Yes Glen, I knowwhat it's like to step back into the hills, and feel that you are at home, you are where you should be. And I also know what it's like to not be able to go back there again. Feel every step, go absolutely everywhere, leave nothing out. And film it all so we can relive those days that meant so much.

Really looking forward to this. So pleased it's 37 minutes long as it really lets the viewer fully immerse in the walk. This series is the best watch there is both on You Tube and elsewhere 😬

This was the 1st walk I did following a family bereavement earlier in the year. I find getting out into the hills gives me an escape and time to breathe and reset, so it was a memorable walk in many ways. Really glad to relive it again here (almost to the step!). Really great vlog again and looking forward to season 2 !

Said it before, and will say it again. Another great video. You are absolutely right about it feeling like home. We visit pretty much every year since 2005 and our spirits rise as soon as the fells open up towards the end of a long journey. "We're home". Spend most of our time in the North / East exploring the quieter fells. Still haven't ticked off Hallin Fell yet though. Maybe next time. Keep up the excellent work. 👏

Ah perfect Sunday morning viewing. Loved the idea of getting the boat to do a linear walk. It's too easy to get bogged down in the number of Wainwrights to tick off and the big name fells, and forget to take the time to enjoy everything there is out there. Especially to your point about one day maybe not being lucky enough to do as much. “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” - Ferris Bueller 😏

Used to camp at side farm (patterdale) when I was young. Did the low level walk from there to howtown a couple of times. View from silver point was one I will always remember. Another great and informative video. Ta mate. Brought back some great memories of the laughs me and my mates had camping there. Pubs in Glenridding and patterdale were brilliant, spent a lot of time in them, ha ha.

My first solo in the Lakes. Got the steamer from Glenridding to Howtown and walked back. I did the low level bit and stopped at a random cafe. I loved it with gorgeous views across Ullswater. This year I did Hallin Fell my god the wind was incredible, literally crawled to the big Monument. Never ever experienced gusts of wind that bad. But was worth it. Drove then to Gowbarrow for more punishment and it was so bad I didn't get to the trig, stood near it took a photo to prove I was there. Was too dangerous to get any closer.

Loved this video, back in the lakes myself in 11 days, not that I'm counting lol. Love Ullswater, you should have got the steamer to Pooley Bridge then walked from there to Glenridding, taking in Arthur's pike, Loadpot, High raise, lovely walk with views of Haweswater, but hey you have probably done it a thousand times anyway lol.
