I think it’s safe to say Toyota and Honda has reliability and longevity game sewn up fairly well.

HAD. Back in that era. Too much needless tech now that is failing prematurely. Had a RAV4 come into our shop yesterday with 946kms on it, one month old. Sign reader radar was jammed on one speed. Little things like that would bug the hell out of me. I'll stick with my 2010 Camry 👌 Before that I had a 2007 Accord Euro. 238000 kms drove like new.

@@motleydude73 I’ll would say they still have it. Granted, nothing is perfect. I’ve seen both brands have late models have 250K miles plus and still ticking. Every manufacturer has infotainment issues, it’s just something they have to work the bugs out.

Great car. I had a 2011 LE that I passed on to my son. Its still going strong with 185K miles. I bought a 2019 SE new and I sure hope it will be as good as yours. Thanks for sharing.

A couple things I'll mention since I also own one. Stay on top of any recalls, service transmission at 80k-100k miles fluid drain/fill +filter (no flush) and try to change your oil every 5k miles or 6 months (whichever comes first)

@@Shade_Tree_Mechanic i own a 2010 camry LE. I live in canada. My car currently has 82,700 kilometers on it. it has the 2.5 4 cylinder engine and the 6 speed automatic transmission. I'm getting the transmission fluid changed very soon (drain and fill) Is the trans filter difficult for a mechanic to remove and replace? and how much labour time is required to change the transmission fluid filter? also what does the new transmission filter cost ?
@Shade_Tree_Mechanic
@Shade_Tree_Mechanic 19 күн бұрын
@@brentkiely657 That's excellent that you're getting it serviced at relatively low kms. The filter is relatively easy for a mechanic to remove and replace. They'll just need to drop the transmission pan and from there it's a couple of bolts for removal. I believe the filter change adds about 1.5 hrs of book time. Dealers near me price the OEM transmission filter around $80-$110 (USD) . Honestly with that low of an odometer reading you could wait until the next transmission drain and fill (or two) to replace the filter though. I first replaced mine at 100k miles (160,000km)

@@Shade_Tree_Mechanic ok i likely wont change the filter for this trans. fluid drain and fill. thecarcarenut youtube channel says the filter doesnt need to be changed in these. ... but i will likely order an OEM filter to have for the next transmission fluid drain and fill anyway. What modelyear is your camry and is it an LE with the 6 speed automtic transmission and 2.5 4 cylinder ? That's what i have.

I have a 2010 Camry se with 245,000 miles on it at the moment. I’m a 17 year old who uses it everyday to go to work and school and it’s never given me a single issue so far aside from having to add some oil from time to time due to its age. Gotta love it! 🤭

Our 1999 Camry has 253k miles on it and we bought it 5 years ago for $1300 with 235k miles. Alternator, battery, brakes, rotors, tires, both lower control arms, shocks, spark plugs and sway bars replaced. Runs ok. Not perfect. Still going though.

I took my maxima on a 700 mile road trip and it was great with A/C the whole way. I plan to take it on another road trip when it gets to 400k miles. Have to correct a few things first.

These year Camrys (07-2011) are some of the worst Camrys but even the worst Camrys live a long time! I had an 06 corolla and suspension was okay at 320k miles but here in SoCal nothing rusts! Currently got an 07 Camry fully loaded XLE V6 and currently got 85.5k miles…..wonderful car & powerful and semi luxury ! only thing in SoCal is that you gotta keep your paint waxed/ceramic coated cause the sun will definitely fade your paint

Just replace the bushings en keep up with the maintenance. It shifts like a new one. You will be surprised how more miles you can get out of this Camry. 300.000 is nothing for these!

The only thing I'd replace as far as bushings go if necessary are the sway bar links on all four wheels just because it may help ease up your suspension wear and noise complaints. Are the struts OEM from Toyota or aftermarket? Also no, my 2013 SE only has the driver auto window
