Dope. I started vaulting last season, and am hyped to go to state this year as a senior. No where near your abilities though. Wish I started this sport as a freshman, but hey, at least I still have college. Best of luck to you man.

Colton Crum thanks. I did unfortunately injury my glut 2 days before state, which is tomorrow. However, I’m still not counting myself out, and even if I can’t perform at my best, I’m still going to try my hardest past my limit.

Red Jolteon I’m sorry to hear that. Injuries have limited me in the past. That’s awesome that you’re pushing through. I’m always willing to look at videos and give any advice, Good luck tomorrow and let me know how it goes!

Colton Crum didn’t clear my opening height, but I managed to get 3 great attempts in, even with my injury. I did everything I could have done in my situation, and am fully satisfied with my effort.

My dad won states in 1980 with a single vault of 12'6" his personal best was 13'6" That day he won an English teacher rode with him on the bus to Princeton n.j. since the gym teacher never showed up......years later the teacher became my principal.....it was an epic story worthy of a movie as my dad was over an hour late and never registered.....A guy in a cowboy hat gave my dad a verbal allowance to jump one time and my dad won.....they tried to strip his medal but the guy in the cowboy hat vouched for my dad....

I come back to this video quite often to watch your form before practice. I’m a pole vaulter from North Montgomery and got to watch you a few times before you graduated. Glad to see you’re performing well at Notre Dame.

Realized you are from Frankfort, IN when the Tipton kid came into view during the start of the video. I’m also a pole vaulter and used to go to Tipton, but now at Maconaquah. Don’t know if you’re still vaulting but good luck

Hi, so I realize this is quite late but I've tried contacting you through Instagram but it seems that your account name has been changed or been discontinued, it's my senior year and I'd love to ask you about my vaulting in efforts to beat my 14'1" school record this season. Thanks!

Hey! Sorry about that, I got sick of instagram and deleted it. But I will be back soon. In the meantime, email me at coltonricecrum@gmail.com and I can give you my # and or pointers
