I'm 39 (2012) I used to watch this with my Mum as a wee girl, aged 7 or 8 and I was as in love with Sinatra as she was!

I think this was Sinatra's debut in the movies 1943 "Higher and Higher." In '44 he starred in Step Lively with Gloria DeHaven. In '45 Sinatra starred in Anchors Aweigh with Gene Kelly. His great ballad in this one was "The Music Stopped." and we went on dancing. Sinatra at his absolute best

I love this silly movie. I wish people would put some of the songs up, especially Marcy McGuire and Frankie on "I Saw You First." It's so adorable.
