Sure enjoyed our “visit” today! That little box of ephemera was like Mary Poppin’s bag! Things just kept coming out! That will be a fun journal. Can’t wait to see it! The poppy stitchery with the candlewicking is done with trapunto, where you make a slit in the fabric underneath and “stuff” it and then stitch the printed fabric. So happy we still see you often even with you juggling a job and multiple journals at one time! Hugs to you!

Such a fun video and haul! I’m always so excited when your videos pop up in my subscriptions feed. I will DEFINITELY check out those two Etsy shops. I loved the stationary you got from the first shop and the box of ephemera from the second great stuff. And I’m so envious of your vintage post card hauls! You wouldn’t believe how expensive vintage postcards are up hear in the northeast. They’re like a buck a piece, which is ridiculous. I can’t wait to see how you use all the gift wrap pieces i. journals too!

You found some great things! I loved seeing all of the postcards and you gave me a lot of ideas for future journals. My favorite was the old hotels journal. I also collect vintage postcards from places all around where I grew up and from places I visited as I was growing up. I also popped over to Good Luxe Vintage and found the most adorable little book from the 60s. Thanks for the tip!

I got excited when I saw the Burdines Dept Store postcard. My first professional job in the mid to late 80s, was for Burdines in the corporate accounting dept in downtown Miami. The stores were all over Florida at the time. In the 2000s, they were merged with Macys and Burdines ceased to exist. Just a little background info for your vintage retail journal.

That thrift store price tag is from our Colorado chain, ARC. I shop at them every Tuesday, senior day! I often find vintage things there, and cheap Little Golden Books. Fun, fun, fun goodies!

How funny, I’m pretty positive I had that same bright yellow stationary in the 70’s. The pack with a variety of cards and envelopes and writing sheets.
