Nathan Jones has got the team playing with some fire. He has had the disadvantage of taking over just before a run of playing the top three teams. Had he become manager a month earlier and we would have picked up points against much more beatable teams.

This was the first match I went to in years (been living outside the country) and it was a thrilling watch. Great defensive display, lovely explosive moments in attack (especially in the second half where we kinda dominated the Pompeys to be honest), and overall: good signs of what's to come under Jones. Would not be opposed to him staying on next season going by the first 3 results & general vibe from him. Also, enjoyed the walking football at halftime. COYR!

Felt like a win, went toe to toe with yet another top side. A win will come soon even if it isn’t at derby.

We need to be beating teams like Pompey when we’re at home if we want to get promoted. Two points dropped against promotion rivals. These are the standards we need to reach to get back into the Championship. Good effort today but still not enough quality to finish them off.
