Players like Hemp, Mead and James almost look like they are cheating. They look like a different breed, playing at such a higher level than anyone else.

I think its just the level of support that the girls get now. When they play in the UK they have almost full if not full stadiums becuase of their achievments. This is money that gets put into better training and facilities to keep the girls sharp on their game. But if you look at games outside the UK the stadiums are small and have no crowds. So i think part of why england are so far ahead is basically the level of womens football in other countries. Countries that have a better support prove a larger challenge to the england time such as germany, spain even australia have had a good go at our girls.

This shows the big problem with women’s football and women’s sport in general. There is such a gulf in class between the countries that have been fully professional for many years and those that either still aren’t or have only recently become. How many times do you see England’s women beating another side by a similar score? Makes a mockery of it.
