Those last 15 minutes it felt like a third goal was inevitable. We were knocking so hard at the door and just couldn't quite do it.

At the stadium I saw the disappointed faces of RSL fans, who in the 77th minute, after missing the third goal, left the stadium without waiting for the end of the game. They had no idea that the most interesting thing for the fans would happen in the last 13 minutes. In these remaining minutes, RSL scored two goals, could have scored a third, but couldn’t. What’s most interesting is that although the team lost 2:3, after the final whistle all RSL fans went home with a happy smile on their faces. RSL has two away games left, as we know the team plays better away than at home. We believe in the players and the coach, good luck in the remaining matches.

They didn’t show the offside goal… interesting. Was at the stadium so couldn’t tell 100% if Julio was onside or not. Something’s telling me he was if they refuse to show that in the highlights

Conspiracy theories are fun, aren't they 😀. Why do you think "they refuse to show" the play, rather than that the guy who's being harried to get highlights out fast just didn't think it was worth putting in? Incompetence is always more likely than malice. FWIW, based on the video of the game, I'd say Julio was probably just barely offside. The camera angle isn't great, but the AR is exactly in the right place to make the call. No way VAR would call it a mistake either way.

Yeah idk maybe you’re right. I’ve just seen this happen in the past before. Ref makes an outrageous decision and they don’t put it in highlights. I guess skc also got an offside goal and they didn’t show that in the highlights

Ar made a horrible call. Julio was onside. The ar was in front of where I sit at for games. And Julio was clearly onside. They should have let var take a look at it. I stead the ar had no clue what they were calling.

@@jeremiahrowley6263 Pardon me if I don’t quite buy that you were exactly in line with the offside line at the exact moment the ball was last touched, much less that you were focused on the line instead of watching where the ball was played like 99.99% of spectators. The VAR (and AVAR) absolutely DID look at it. They look at ALL goals. And they didn’t find that the AR made an error. Officials can and do make errors, but at that level they are very good at their jobs.

I watched the game on TV. When I saw the review I could tell that it was offsides, although it was close.

This is the Messi effect for the whole league. I've never watched MLS, but I've watched few of the first Messi games recaps out of curiosity, and now youtube is recommending me more MLS games :D

It can’t be a dive if there was contact. You can argue it wasn’t a foul. Not sure many would believe you though. If it’s a foul it’s denying a obvious goal scoring opportunity it’s not a choice.

J.Glab scored the first home goal for RSL on March 11, 2023; in the last match on October 7 at their stadium, he was sent off in the first minute, which, interestingly, the team lost in both matches. I don't think it's a coincidence. I continue to believe in RSL and J.Glab.

There is nearly always a lot of contact on set pieces near the box. Probably should call it more than they do (which is almost never). Better chance to get a call is to be near where the ball is played and sell the contact well.

I’m a little confused. No one seems concerned that SKC was allowed to stand in the wall during the first goal. I’m not excusing RSLs horrid wall but it’s still illegal to stand in the wall. That’s something VAR should call the goal back for. It’s small but worthy of being mentioned.

They were not the required distance from the wall, good eye. But they also weren't obstructing the creation of the wall or otherwise interfering with RSL, which is what I think the point of the new rule is. I'm usually a rule stickler, but I don't think the spirit of the rule was violated here.

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve felt like Justin Glad has been one if RSLs most overrated players… he’s been dispossessed multiple times in front of goal this season.

Watched it live and the comentators said later during the match that they had just had it confirmed that it was 37 seconds and now stands as the fastest red card in MLS history.... Glad breakin all kinds of records
