This brings back my nightmare of when I did a moto trip from San Francisco to Portland for a bachelor's weekend. I didn't know what the plan for the day was and there wasn't enough room in the car so I took my bike to breakfast. After that I followed the guys to a really cool looking waterfall, the 620ft Multnomah Falls, to be exact. They parked and when I pulled up to them I asked whats wrong and the answer I got was: "we're hiking up to the top". I was in sportbike gear, in particular my boots were, and still are, a pair of Sidi speedrides, a cut down version of the Mag 1, a full racing boot. It was not a fun time trying to hike up a constant incline with that metal slider hanging over the front edge of the boot. Solid boot, sidi sells soles so you can resole them if you need, but they were not meant for impromtu hikes. Get/wear the right gear for the task at hand folks.

So, is there so much stealing in the US, or have you just become so paranoid that you don't trust anyone anymore? There is crime here in Europe as well, but children still walk to school, I can invite the neighbors for coffee and forget to lock the door without fear that someone will empty my house. It is possible, but the chances are minimal. If you are in Europe, then: What the fuck....?

You hit the nail on the head with the description of the footwear lasting hours and miles, no more than single digits on both accounts though. From personal experiences; the stitching on the tpu toe and heel WILL fail faster than you can pay off the cc bill and the delaminating of the outsole at the heel will begin during the removal of the product from the box if you are not careful. Not acceptable for the cost.

True that Boas are replaceable but I must say that as a snowboarder that loves boas for their convenience I do hate their inconvenience when they fail. I bought a Krios helmet. Cheaply made crap. Ive already had to use Gorilla Glue on it to keep the plastic chassis inside the helmet and the plastic button for the chin strap is broken. Ive only been wearing it for 6 weeks. It's actually a Nishua Enduro helmet that costs hundreds of dollars less without the Klim branding. I have no reason to expect any more from their footwear.

Informative and creatively entertaining as always, with a few good laughs thrown in. 45 has been a great addition to the F9 channel.

Icon storm guards are nice boots to walk, hike, and ride in. Maybe bulkier, but so coMFORTABLE.

A short cable lock for a bicycle is a better choice over the Hiplok to secure a helmet or other gear.

Have these exact boots and jacket, I agree! The boots are amazing, super lightweight and comfortable. The jacket is also good, arm vents work great but when they're zipped up they create a stress point in the zipper (like on jeans at the crotch) near the bend of the elbow and can be annoying. I'm in the SE United States so the jacket quickly becomes too much to wear immediately getting off the bike or stopping for too long but wears nicely at highway speeds.

Osprey daylite 60L duffel backpack isn’t a bad option. Outdoor research has carry out duffel backpack and patagonia has the black hole. No support straps though for chest. If you go ultra light or backpacking gear you can fit a ton of stuff in one.
