In this week's How to Video, we look at the Hikvision Facial Recognition Terminal, DS-K1T604MF.
We guide you how to set up fingerprint and facial recognition Access Control using iVMS-4200.
You can use it standalone or like me within the IMVS-4200 / HIK-Central software allowing full management. The DS-K1T604MF has quick reactions, intuitive touch screen GUI and some niche function like; calling residents and doorbell functions.
Using the Face Recognition function and fingerprint together really does raise the security level, it even has live face function to combat printed off faces etc.

Great product. Is there any unit that is with face recognition, temperature & thumb scan? Will it be possible to test out the software without the scan unit to make sure the software work for our application?

Hello, Great videos you produce, thank you! I have a question. If I install a face recognition terminal can i set a permission to allow either a 'good' face scan OR a card swipe for someone to gain access? I know in your videos you talk about a settting in the software that reads something like "face scan AND card" but I was wondering if there is an option for either a face or a card scan? Thanks!

@@DVSLTD Hi. thank you for the reply. I'm wondering if there is an option to do Face Detection OR a card swipe. I only ask because I can issue swipe cards to everyone and they can use them and some people will add the functionality of face detection. I was hoping the system could be set to read a face if a reference photo is stored OR it can grant access from a card swipe. FYI we'll be using the 4 door controller and the IVMS4200 software.

can this be used to record all non registered people's face and fingerprint when attempting to gain access? (used at the entrance of a private housing estate to record evidence of non white list approved entry requests) security deterrent.

I'm new to installing cameras, which I have done at my home. I have installed a DS-2CD2185FWD-I, which is an 4K dome camera with on-board micro SD storage, which is the storage I am utilizing. I have set up motion detection, unattended baggage, object removal, and face detection. I have dynamic analysis DISABLED for all of those, where applicable. When I review video (not live) on my iPhone using iVMS-4500, everything does as I expect it. If I review video (not live) on my Mac, using iVMS-4200, I have the blue perimeter lines and green boxes flashing all over the place, etc. I know what they are for and there are times I can use them. However, I more often just want to see the video in its raw form, especially if a line is obstructing a face or something. So... how do I turn off the lines? There must be a setting or something obvious that I am missing. Thanks!

Hey , good work and it seems you have learnt a lot , if you like you can run TeamViewer and I can show you how to disable it on the mac software , I don’t have a MAC to do screen shots

Hello. Can 2 face recognition terminal connect through weigand. Entry is the master and will be configured to be wiegand IN and Exit act like a slave and configured as wiegand out to be connected to the Entry terminal. Thanks

Another great video. Abit of advice i currently run 2 4k 8mp hikis at the rear of my property. Looking to add cameras to the front. Is they any good cameras that have discreet IR (Dont have showing red lights) ?.

Hey , thanks for this, all our units have 850nm IR which is in the Visible spectrum, 950nm is covert but reduced range, could you use a Darkfighter camera without IR on , or is there no external light?

good afternoon, I installed 3 access controls hikvision ds-k1ta70mi-t, it allows access to non-registered users, how can I solve this problem? it assigns the name of a registered user to the stranger 😀

Thanks for the video, I have the device but with a problem, some people when using the fingerprint way of authentification, it shows the face of the person who enroled before, can this be fix easly?

Can this be used for an external turnstile or would you need a shelter to stop the rain and bad weatheer effect it

Hi, its IP rated and there is a external rain shroud to fit , but still recommend to use under shelter to stop sunlight and rain effecting face rec camera and finger print reader 😊

@Andre Chapman IP rating doesn’t always mean suitable for external use under continued weather conditions , and technology included in it should Be protected from the elements

Then I find a demo at the end. But I see face + finger needed. I need to read the manual. Even fingerprint reader is it optical or semiconductor as some products claim??? Why not put the manual as a link below??

Hi Dave, how are you ? I need an access control software compatible with hikvision controller DS-K2602, can you tell me anyone software ? The Ivms-4200 have many limitations for my environment. I need to store more than 20.000 cardholders, but ivms-4200 only store 10.000. Can you help me ? Tanks a lot!

We just installed this system couple months ago, it was working fine with rfid card + facial recognition, but yesterday someone tripped the power bar that powers the poe system, I simply turn it back on this morning, everything seems back to normal until we realized the facial recognition didn't work, so I tried reapplying the permissions with iVMS, everything able to upload into the device but all face pictures that are linked with the profiles are all failed upload into the device with error "downloading face data failed" no matter what I tried (rebooting the device, recreate profile, disconnect and reconnect the device into iVMS). Any ideas? Or the device simply just died?

Hi Michael , this is most unfortunate, I guess it’s still online and added to the IVMS software? Have you tried to default the unit , add it back in and download the permissions and faces back to it???

@@DVSLTD Hi, thanks for reply, I managed get the system back to working condition after contacted the company who supply the device for us, and what we did was we tried default the device but didn't work and I was unable to take picture even with the device's camera, so then we tried upgrade the firmware for the hardware and software as there is a newer version. After upgraded the firmware it still does the same thing, but the progress goes a lot faster and I was able to take face picture using the device's camera, so I export the picture from the device and compared to the photos that I was using, by size, by resolution.. etc. but the device still won't accepting any of face photos from before, then finally I decided to remove the EXIF metadata, then Vola! the device start accepting the photos, it turns out the new firmware does not accepting the photo that has camera EXIF metadata information, by removing them it solves the problem.

I found video OK up to 2min 30 sec. But then we do not see the installed product?? Then this fellow jumps to what looks like a Windows platform, not knowing if software install is required??? It's a mess, like something is CEARLY not CONNECTED in this chap's brain circuitry????
