cause they don't give a fuck about us. let's all work together to make the future better. I say the citizens should have an input on every single policy decision that happens in the country. I wrote a paper on this too. if we had direct ballot initiatives on all issues that effect us (and they all do since they are somehow related with our taxes) then we would have actual representation in government. if Tennessee was considering passing marijuana laws to make it legal, which they did, then the people should decide yes or no. we go to the ballots, pick a side, and the majority wins and that's the policy we get. period. since ~80% of the country wants weed legal, it should have already happened. but then we would also need a reliable media to give facts, which is way too much to ask for apparently

IMHO - Here's what happened: 1) Gleefully and cluelessly boasting of her great friendship with war criminal, Henry Kissinger.during the first debate. 2) Refusing to produce her Goldman-Sach’s transcripts, even after she promised she would if certain conditions were met. Those conditions were met yet she still refused. Just those two things convinced me not to vote for her. But she kept going: 3) Her draping Obama and his ruinous failed policies around her shoulders constantly and her promise of a “No-Fly Zone” over Syria. 4) The rigged debate schedule she coordinated to keep Bernie away from the public. 5) Her screaming before the Iowa caucus, “You will NEVER EVER have single payer healthcare!!” 6) Her screaming outburst and getting in the face of a Sierra Club activist who waited hours to ask her about her fracking policies. 7) Her silence during the DAPL fight. 8) Her calling the TPP “The Gold Standard.” 9) Her defining herself as a “Progressive” when we all know she isn’t. 10) Her billionaire corporate and Wall St. donors. 11) Her constant anger and arrogance. 12) Her hawkish neocon stance and record. 13) Her deletion of thousands of emails on her private server. 14) The relentless smearing of Bernie by her corporate MSM shills. 15) Her silencing of Bernie delegates using noisemakers and signs blocking progressives at the Convention. Her canceling Nina Turner’s convention speech at the last minute. 16) The instant coronation by her bought-off lobbyist super delegates at the convention. 17) The wikileaks email leaks that confirmed what we all suspected. 18) Her election fraud and paying off Nate Silver to convince voters she was doing much better than she actually was. Her calling herself “the winner” the night before Californians voted. 19) Her constant smearing of millennials and true progressives.

Don't forget the constantly condescending attitude as she totally snubbed her base and ran so far right that she lost the democratic "firewall". (This included blatent smear campaigns against not only Bernie, but voters as well) She had a overt and offputting sense of entitlement to the process. Her avid support of the disastrous TPP wasn't covered up at all by her way late and threadbare lie about being against it. She also put herself in the position of not being able to say anything about voter suppression by using it extensively in the primary. Oh, and let's not forget the big one: they coordinated with the media to push Trump on the primary in the first place. It's ALL her fault in uncountable ways.

I swear to God, I don't even care what the issue is, if you bring on a "panel" where literally every single person has the exact same opinion, thats not news. Thats propaganda. It's a waste of time. "Oh yeah, as you can see, every single reasonable person thinks x" In this case, "Oh yeah! all the reasonable people can tell that Sanders helped make Clinton vulnerable to corruption..." Garbage. I used to be a republican before Sanders. I always hated Clinton, always thought she was corrupt. I ultimately sucked it up and voted for Clinton specifically because I trusted Sanders when he said she would be better. So no, Sanders didn't hurt her, he made her a better candidate and brought voters TO her.

The funny thing is, if trump actually went through with his promises, he would win 2020 in a land slide. It's not so much the person behind the promises, it's the ability and willingness to actually deliver. I agree, that trump is a con man. He is also ignorant, which is both good and bad. It's good, because it's one reason he isn't a racist for example. I see him not knowing shit about race, race simply doesn't have his interest, and I cannot see then, how he can be a racist. It's bad, when it comes to actual politics, where he knows nothing about most things. He can damage SO many things just out of pure ignorance. But most of all, I do not expect that he can or will deliver on his promises. I expect next election to be between trump and some third party also. The difference between trump and clinton is, that while trump might damage things out of ignorance, hillary will do so intentionally. I do not understand, that in a country with so many millions of people as the US, that you couldn't find better candidates. I do have an idea, that the reason is the same as in many other countries, that the honest people, who would have been good presidents and leaders, do not want to mingle with the swamp. Which they will have to as leaders. And so, you only get career politicians and crazy people.

I mean, where I live, my vote doesn't matter at all. So why vote? Only in smaller things would it have impact, like local votes. Presidential elections, nope. My state is just so conservative that it doesn't matter. No matter what, they will always vote republican. Public Health services that are financed by single payer insurances (or even taxes) exist all over Europe. French banks are heavily regulated: no real estate bubbles even possible, people can't get into debt. Gun control (which Bernie Sanders was not that good on) is just a given in Europe. Education on the European continent is free and very good quality. All I'm saying is Bernie is not that far left on any other scale that in the United States. Class differences are much stronger in the US than anywhere in the world (except possibly Russia and China!). The difference between very rich and very poor in Scandinavia is only 100 to 1. Hillary Clinton is less social minded than right wing German Angela Merkel. The fact is, Americans live in a bubble and entertain the illusion that the US is the best place to live on Earth: it isn't and hasn't been for years. The young generation that loves Bernie Sanders lives on the internet and sees the rest of the world and realizes that "socialism" is not "unicorns and fairies": it is a viable alternative.

Boehner said it best when asked about the election. What happened was that Clinton ran on no message except putting herself (as the first woman president) in office. Bernie had a message, Trump had a message. Both Bernie and Trump presented their campaigns as popular movements with them as tools to attain goals or figureheads. Both their campaigns, at least in presentation, were not about them, but about a group of people.

Some people, like Hillary Clinton, have such inflated egos that they cannot accept honest and accurate criticisms of themselves. People like this, who can't accept reality and be willing to change their beliefs when they're shown to be wrong, have no business making decisions that can affect the welfare of a whole country. For her: her needs and her desires are paramount and everything else is of secondary or tertiary importance.

If you want to be serious about this, you have to ask yourself, do you blame Hillary for Bernie's loss? Do you blame Hillary or Trump being the president? If you're not willing to answer those questions you're not really engaging

And she was considered the shoe-in candidate and Trump was considered the long-shot! She's saying the 'long-shot Democratic candidate' ruined her campaign?!?! She ruined herself. Most Americans didn't even know who Bernie was before the election, his message was so uplifting and hopeful. Her message was "I'm a woman therefore its your duty as a liberal to vote for me".

Bernie Sanders is NOT a democrat! He admitted recently that the reason he ran as a democrat was for the FREE MEDIA COVERAGE! He said the media would have ignored him had he run as an Independent SOCIALIST which is what he is and has always been! Bernie also got access to the democrats voters list so he could hit them up for donations. Hillary raised tens of Million$ for other democrats running to defeat republicans. Bernie raised ZERO dollars to help other down ballot dems! The DNC had every right to be very suspicious of an INTERLOPER like Bernie Sanders! Bernie said he wouldn't go negative and then did exactly that! Bernie BASHED the democratic party throughout the primary. And when Hillary challenged him to name just ONE time she ever sold out on a vote for Wall St. banks Bernie couldn't do it!!! He just stood there looking STUPID!! Bernie Sanders is a member of the SOCIALIST WORKERS PARTY NOT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!!! And the RUSSIANS did in fact work together with the Trump campaign, They COLLUDED with the Russians to elect Donald 'Shitstain Upon America' Trump!

Sanders had NO OTHER ADVANTAGE than being "allowed" in the TV debates (a no-brainier for smaller parties and newcomers in other democracies).

It is factually incorrect that Sanders got access to the Democratic email list. He built his own, as he had to DO his own fundraising - and was doing very well with both in surprisingly short time. The DNC would LOVE to get his list NOW - and until now he refuses. And he is right to do that, many people who entrusted HIS campaign with their email adress would be furious if they were handed over like that to the DNC.

I disagree - good cop (Sanders concentrating on the ISSUES, not giving the media any pretext to "misunderstand" him by being polite and classy). AND lots of bad cops (supporters aka Bernie Bros - lol ) doing the fact checking and the corrections and the well deserved ridicule of the Democratic establishment and HRC for him on social media and in town halls. The U.K. media and the neoliberal wing of Labour in U.K. did the same to their progressive party leader and leader of the opposition. Hard to paint Jeremy Corbyn as sexist, racist, Antisemite, really hard because of his long track record - but they sure did try. And JUMPED at every little thing they possibly could misrepresent or turn into a "tempest in the teapot". Never mind misrepresenting the budgets for Corbyn's proposals. The snap elections in June 2017 actually helped him, they have fairness rules for General Elections for TV in the U.K. Meaning he had to be given equal airtime and could present the calculations and proposals HIMSELF. to cite a biblical quote: Be innocent like the doves, but sly like the snakes.
