I genuinely think that J.Coles feature run is still killer even moving into late September, They might not be as good as the 2018-2019 feature verses, but he is still consistently giving us some of the best features of the year and being able to adapt to any song(his feature on Jonny P's Caddy is my favorite J.Cole feature BY FAR).

Lookin 4 Ya was also amazing, but that mightve been 2010, I can't remember. Sir Luscious Leftfoot was honestly just an amazing album for features. The fact that Eminem just got into the mainstream and did some songs with people like Dr. Dre, Biggie, KRS-One, Kool G Rap, Pharoahe Monch, Tech N9ne, Chino XL, RZA, Xzibit, Limp Bizkit, and Missy Elliott is absolutely insane and probably something we’ll never see again. That's why people kept saying Quavo should go solo around that time, Swae Lee was in a similar space at that time too. Definitely need to feature Busta Rhymes in one of your entries at some point. His verse in "Look at Me Now" was incredible for sure, but man when he was in his prime from 1991-2001 he had some insane features whether they were hooks for artists or his own verses. Just to name a few: Heavy D "A Buncha Niggas" A Tribe Called Quest "Scenario" (both album version and remix) A Tribe Called Quest "Oh My God" Black Moon "The Onslaught" Mystikal "Whacha Want, Whacha Need" Craig Mack "Flava in Ya Ear" remix Erick Sermon "Yeah" "Hit 'em High" from the Space Jam soundtrack "The Points" from the Panther soundtrack Diamond D "This One" Redman "Da Goodness" Mos Def "Do It Now" Pharoahe Monch "The Next Shit" M.O.P. "Ante Up" remix I could go on...

Here's some from my daily rotation. Sorry if this is messy I'm just getting off work: All the Injury Reserve albums prior to Phoenix are pretty accessible and full of gems. Floss in particular has some great standouts. MF DOOM has a great catalog but you'll need to be prepared for a lot of samples and an overall more lighthearted take on the genre since his main persona (he rapped under a handful of names) was that of Dr. Doom on the mic. That's not to say he didn't go hard at times, but Food is a very silly album full of bangers. Madvillainy is often considered an absolute classic with great production and slick bars. It's also a great introduction to madlib if you're interested in the more instrumental side of rap built extensively off of interesting sample flips. J Dilla is also in that vein if you find yourself attracted to it. Lil Ugly Mane's album mista thug isolation hits similar notes but cranked up to 11 and has a very old school vibe to it. Earl Sweatshirt's latest albums def take notes from DOOM but go in a wildly different direction. Every song sorta makes you feel like you're stuck in a closet full of old coats and you just tripped over your bottle of mood stabilizers. It's had a lot of impact on my own work. Highly recommend Tyler the creator's latest album is an absolute delight to sit with thanks to some great production and Tyler's natural charisma on the mic. Denzel Curry's catalog is also pretty great and relatively diverse ranging from darker emo bangers to smooth and soulful flows. A good little sample platter of his hits can be found in his Tiny Desk performance on KZfaq with backing by a live band and it's fantastic. Speaking of tiny desks, Kenny Beats' album Louie has truly stellar production and is straight up overflowing with heart. He's a producer with a great ear for the genre and I highly recommend his tiny desk performance as well. Remi Wolf gives a performance in it that legit made me cry a little the first time I heard it and jpegmafia makes an appearance which leads me too . . . Jpegmafia and Danny Brown's recent Scaring the Hoes album is a little difficult to get into because the production is extremely jarring and at times abrasive with Danny's voice being . . . an acquired taste. It's def worth checking out just for how wild it is. Danny's album atrocity exhibition is a seriously awesome listen but, again, the voice might turn you off at first. Peggy's work leans more into the experimental, abrasive style of production but it's also worth diving into. I'll probably get roasted a little but Ice Spice's deluxe version of her album adds tracks that display her range and are not to be missed imo. Bare minimum check out the first three songs. Bladee is a tough sell because it overall kinda sounds like garbage to most people but it's so endearing that it might win you over. It took me a bit to come around, but Crest absolutely won me over and is a collab with ecco2k whose album E is more welcoming to new listeners. It's all very dreamy and has a soft aesthetic but the lyrics can get heavy at times. I really like Flo milli's 2022 album You Still Here, Ho cause it's just a lot of fun. Bedtime is a standout track. Mavi's album laughing so hard it hurts is the musical equivalent of being really sweaty in a tiny apartment in the muddle of summer while sitting in front of a box fan and I mean that as a very big compliment. There's a ton more worth talking about like Low End Theory and To Pimp a Butterfly but my brain is fried rn. Also that dude that did Gangnam Style? Well his album psy from the psycho world is front to back banger after banger. Weird I know. Idk hope this was helpful and sorry for the typos and stuff I'm sleepy

Dude, you can’t make this video without Jadakiss! In the early ‘00s you knew fire was coming as soon as you heard that laugh. Never had a wack verse! (also Ludacris had a nice run)

An underrated one I feel like would be Travis Scott's features in 2021, he was everywhere and didn't miss ONCE

J Cole is one of the very few artist that can hop on a track with an artist I don’t care for… but I’ll add the song to my playlist because of Cole.

So I got five #1 is Anderson Paak just in general I don’t have a specific run he just bodies all the features that he does, #2 is Lil Wayne after he released Tha Carter 5 so from 2018-now he has been none stop with good features, #3 is Lil Uzi Vert after Eternal Atake & LUV vs the World 2 so 2020-2022, #4 is 21 Savage after I’m Greater than I Was 2018-Now just like Wayne, but his feature run really started in 2017 when he featured on Rockstar by Post Malone and ever since then it’s rare when you hear a bad 21 Savage feature, and finally #5 Fivio Foreign and he has had a phenomenal feature run since his feature on Off the Grid by Kanye so yea I think at least one of these guys should make it on your next list if you make another one and keep up the great work

If you ever do a sequel, I suggest adding Trippie Redd (mostly 2017-2018). This was when Trippie was emerging further from the SoundCloud era and more as a mainstream artist, and i definitely think some of his best work is from this era as well. Examples Fuck Love (XXXTENTACION) Forever World (Lil Yachty) (my personal favorite) Wish (Diplo) Ferris Wheel (Tory Lanez) Murda (NBA Youngboy) Yoppa (Chris Brown) R.I.P. (Joji) he also had Candy (MGK) & gone girl (iann dior) in 2019, but its up to you

Three others that need recognition are 2 Chainz in the late 2000s/early teens, Ty Dolla Sign in the mid to late teens, & Juicy J in the early teens.
