Coming from a preschool educator myself, this job is never easy because you do not only deal with children but, with parents also which I believe is the most stressful part. Doing the routine and the lessons each day is tiring cause the children acts up different days..but the children bless your soul and heart with their words or sweet actions and thats what i love most

I'm a daycare teacher in Malaysia and I completely agree when she says " it's really not easy but it's very rewarding". Many times I'm exhausted but just one little high five, hug or even a thank you from my students and I'm sold. Definitely one of the best feelings ever. It's like my tiredness slowly fades away. It also feels so rewarding to witness the children's growth and achievements. Really happy to see Xenia try this job for a day and glad to see her starting to like kids 😊

Haha if I’m not wrong Xenia actually wanted to be a History teacher. I can see why now she’s actually rlly good with kids and teaching!! I personally feel that playing and liking kids is one thing but to teach them is really another level. I personally think playing with kids is exhausting but teaching them is really really rewarding when you see them rlly genuinely interested and curious to learn! Not just academics but the things around them! Like animals, the sky, the ocean, colours, music! it rlly puts you in a different perspective especially when you are an adult now and you just chiong thru a very academic-based grade-focused education system sometimes we forget the genuine passion to learn and not just cramming for exams. I study marine science and I love to educate and share with kiddos about animals, nature and the environment! they actually learn very quickly when they are interested in the subject

I'm studying early childhood education and the lessons that i have conducted were all very challenging but xenia is right about it being extremely rewarding being with children and feeling their genuine interest and love!

aw. remind me of when i had a sec 3 school FIS project to take care of the kids for a few months. it was so hard because we had to visit the kindergarten after school and we were so drained, but we had to put on our most bubbly personality to engage the children. i miss them so much

Hey Xenia, I think you did a really good job in managing N1! They are the hardest of all but yet the most adorable bunch! What I think you can do better is by catching their attention during class. When you see that they are getting rowdy, you can get them do sit down. Maybe enforcing a common word to watch their attention. But I love the energy you have! OMG THE MAMA PART KILLED ME UWUUUUU

I have taught in Asia since 2013, I've taught kindergarten, primary, secondary and college. Currently, I teach kindergarten and everything in the video is accurate, it does get challenging, but it's so rewarding in the end. Once you've built that level of trust and good rapport with students, it makes the job a breeze. I love my job and it's very interesting how easily my students got used to me especially since I'm a foreign teacher, but they try to tell me their little stories in Thai and I understand most of the time and their smiles in response are so cute. Also, like Xenia said, I do feel that happy spirit from students at the end of lessons when they all say "Thank you, Teacher Robert"
