NJPW: We are going to go out of business. Hiroshi Tanahashi: Not today, Satan. What a performer, carried that company on his back alone for a long ass time, then made a successor on his own for a laugh. Unbelievable performer. He and Cena truly two of a kind.

Cena? Lol. He doesn’t touch Tana in any category
@MardyBum1002912 жыл бұрын
@@jacemacfie1475 Please, he's one of the most successful, biggest drawing wrestlers of all time. One thing he certainly does beat Tanahashi in. Carried WWE for years and years, like Tanahashi carried NJPW. That's where the parallels are.
@AirshipOverWater2 жыл бұрын
Tana is in a league of his own. Cena is a legend, but not on the same level -- and his value to WWE was manufactured out of how force fed he was to the fans. Say what you will about Tanahashi, but the fanbase was never as divided with him. They almost universally loved him and saw his value. Even when he was on top, he still built up the talent around him. Cena on the other hand, more often than not was booked to always go over the rising talent at the end of his feuds. The reason he stands on a mountain of his own from say, 2005-2016, is because in that time, very few people were allowed to be anywhere near his level. And a very young demographic (viewers under 14 or so) loved him, but he was not so loved by the older demo. Not knocking what Cena accomplished, because his run in the mid-to-late 2010s was actually good, but Tana carried a company out of the ashes like a hero. Cena was booked as such, but his value was created at the cost of not building up so many others. All in all, I think it's a bit indecent to Tana to put them in the same category.

Me too. First NJPW match I ever watched was Tanahashi vs. Okada, but it was mainly for Okada because of all the buzz I saw about him on the internet. But once I saw the entrances and the match, I just kept thinking who's this Tanahashi guy? I just thought he was so cool, from his entrance, his swagger, and wrestling style. I came out of that match as a bigger fan of his.

I could never get used to his new theme. It was so rare for any Japanese wrestler to change his entrance song, let alone a genuine living legend. Wrestle Kingdom 11 - RIP High Energy.

"Tomorrow I'll be a new anon, tomorrow I'll start this and that, tomorrow I'll learn something and stick with it till I master it". Bu-but... I never do it. I always think it's OK to leave it for the next day, and to the next after, and so on. I'm stuck, I'm a coward afraid of moving on. >Anon-kun, what are you afraid of? >Tanahashi-san, you're the Ace. You're one of the best wrestlers ever. Me? I can't even hold a conversation with a stranger or co-worker. Everyone makes fun of me and the way I am, they did at school and they do now, because I'm a weakling coward that does nothing but whine, just like now. I hate myself, and I hate that despite knowing all this I still can't change. >Anon-kun, the problem is that you care too much about what other people think. It's true, one must know how to interact with people to survive in this world. But everyone is different. The more you fight yourself, the more you won't be able to move forward. Stop hiding who you are, It's ok to be embarrassed, it's ok to not know what to say. and it's ok to tell those people upsetting you to stop. The fear is the true enemy. Once you kill it, your weakness can be transformed into strength. You'll be kind and fair to people. Because you've felt what suffering is.
