You should do the History of Rares and Elites throughout the game

In BFA, the Stormwind Harbor had rows of dead soldiers/coffins along the dock to Northrend. There were even a couple npcs standing in front of one of the coffins. These npcs were a human female sobbing over the coffin, and a human female child who would say something about missing her father when you walked near her. Rather grim, but it really helped show the costs of the war.

The Auction House was added to SW midway through Vanilla (then changed location with Cata). Originally only Ironforge had an AH.

I remember when they announced the portal room. I was like "uh, ok, whatever". Now I pass through there like 20 times a day lol.

In Stormwind, I miss the old Command Center and SI7. The Command Center's training courtyard before you enter the building was a fun roleplay spot. But I love literally everything they've added in Wrath and Cata. The docks, the graveyard, the ponds. I just wish they had kept the old Command Center. In Org, I miss the Cleft. It was darker before Cata, it felt like a proper retreat from the heat. In Cata it's brighter and it just isn't as atmospheric. The bank too, I was one of those afk sitters on the bank roof. But my favorite addition has to be the Orgrimmar Skyway. Bringing the zep towers into the city and building upwards? That's cool.

A minor correction: The Cata portal area in Orgrimmar is the Western Earthshrine, mirroring the Eastern in SW - the Throne of the Elements is in Nagrand (both of them) And a clarification: The Elementium Plate from the Deathwing fight is a fragment of his jaw armor, not a back plate, left on the ground when he's exploded at the end of the Madness encounter. It's the same object we get the loot from.

5:30 - It's extremely unlikely that Arthas has a grave in Stormwind. While Alliance players like to imagine that Arthas was viewed as a good person before Frostmourne, it's only ever been Jaina, Uther and Muradin who believed that. The rest of Azeroth, including the Alliance leadership, views Arthas with even more disdain than they view Garrosh, Gul'dan or the Legion combined. Honoring Arthas would have been widely unpopular with everyone, and the only possible reason Varian would have ever considered doing it would be to spite the Forsaken. Arthas being viewed tragically and respected in death is fanon. It's never been something the story has reinforced outside of his three former friends. Even his mementos like Jaina's locket that he keeps in ICC are very deliberately undercut by there also being a vial of Sylvanas' blood next to it. For all their disgusting decisions, the writers (even blonde paladin simp Golden) have generally never gone away from the idea that Arthas was a complete bastard.

Actually I'm pretty sure that giant scale of deathwing was in fact a piece of his jaw, on the tip of the chin part, which came from him after defeating not the spine, but maelstrom part of Dragon Soul, at least from me looking at it a lot lol

They really did miss a golden opportunity to make a battleground version of the siege of Orgrimmar. Where 20 or 40 players on each side are fighting to take Orgrimmar. As alliance you would push the horde back into the city till you have managed to kill a large percentage of the NPCs in Orgrimmar. The horde have to try and defend against this attack. This could be an epic BG or just a normal BG

You should make a video detailing or ranking how strong each indivual classes are in lore, like showcasing the higher end of whatever that class has achieved and notable persons in it.

i think an awesome video series could be zones/ dungeons/ raids storylines before and after the cataclysm because they all got changed so much! also love this vid very interesting!

A bit of a correction about org update in cata, the main reason it got changed and updated is bc a lot of it was burned down before deathwing broke out of deepholm bc the elementals were freaking out about deathwing coming back so a lot it had to be rebuilt

Simple request, but I don’t want to take a portal to the dragon isles in the new exp. I wanna take a boat or zeppelin the way people used to get from 1 place to another. Rather than just being ported to the exact point, you can then see the surrounding area, and run to the destination finding little things along the way

What really bums me out is how Orgrimmar is currently designed. It's too hodge-podge thrown together. I get that the Horde are "barbarians" but they're not gonna shit in the streets. I wish there was a bit more effort put into making Orgrimmar "lived in" rather than just a bunch of vendors and trainers. Stormwind feels lived in. Stormwind feels strategic too! I really wish they'd revamp Orgrimmar again. Even if 90% of the inhabitants are used to sleeping rough, there still needs to be some effort put into the literal capital of the faction! Why is the portal room in such a vulnerable spot? Why are the other 3 gates so under-developed? Why are there so many areas that can only be reached by flying? The Horde can craft engines of war to rival the Alliance but can't do shit for city building??

I remember finding the underneath to storm wind back in the day. I never saw anything come of it until the Pandas and the entire area was used for them.

I wouldn't say that stormwind's portal room layout is more friendly since its at the top of a winding uhh, not quite staircase but ramp that you can't fly up but have to walk slowly up. Whereas orgrimmar's portal room you can fly into and often make it almost all the way to the portals quickly.

I'd love to see some more updates to the faction capitols in-game to represent the new additions to the factions, and it's possible to expand either capitol, since they're both in mountainous regions, though Stormwind is pretty enormous as is.

TBH, the Dracthyr _could_ fit for the Bronze Dragon part due to their powerset

Legion did not add Allied Races like you claim. Allied Races were added in Battle for Azeroth. Also Warboards have been a thing since Cataclysm, not BFA.

I still find it a shame that allied race npcs or folks that have lost their capital are only to be seen near the embassy or if they have their starting point in the city itself, only at that particular point. I would like if the cities would be redesigned to reflect how various races have settled in the faction. My idea would be like that. Orgrimmar: Orcs, Tauren and Trolls have their respective districts already. Additionaly near the river and lake you could have Highmountain Tauren from the Rivermane tribe building some of their tents and some Zandalari huts in the Troll district. Assuming the Forsaken don`t take their capital back, they could make their home in the Cleft of Shadows (or even the parts Garrosh built) as a temporary Undercity. Since Bloodelves and Nightborne still have their capitals, the only change would be propably some more NPCs near the portal area and one or two of their tents and canopies in the Valley of Strength as a "more sophisticated place in a city of brutes". The Goblins could move into the long alley in the Valley of Honor leading to the Gate to Azshara. Since their capital of Bilgewater harbour is located there it would make sense for them to set up shop there. With propably a small area with 2-3 demolishers for the Twilight Highlands pre-quest. The Pandaren would move their place near the Embassy (since it is the place where Ji Firepaw is hanging out now.) and set up some more tents, small shrines etc. Additionaly to the Rivermane near the rivers i would also place an encampment and an eagle roost of the Skyhorn tribe on the central plateau between the flight master and the point where you can jump down to the Valley of Wisdom. The Mag`har would also move up to the central plateau and build a district with their traditional buildings up there. Seriously that thing has so much empty space.... Even the demon hunters could expand their little encampment from the legion pre-event and the death knights could make one of their small camps from WotlK there. And last but not least the Vulpera. The Vulpera would make their central base camp at the place where the Pandaren are now and additionaly set up smaller camps near the gates for a last check of supplies, befitting their nomadic nature. Now to Stormwind: Humans are a no brainer and dwarves and gnomes share the Dwarven district, so no biggies here. Assuming Teldrassil doesn`t regrow/heal at some point i would say that the Night elves turn the farmland they are right now into a small grove of their own with moonwells and all. The Worgen would primarly make the Old City their district due to it propably reminding them most of the Gilnean capital. Since the Exodar is still intact i would just add more Draenei npcs to both the harbour and the cathedral district. Same goes for the Lightforged Draenei with propably a part of the harbour dedicated to them as a small place, where they can practice their war preparations. Pandaren would also move closer to the embassy for the same reasons as in Orgrimmar. Though propably they would stick closer to the river for their turtles. Void Elves could make some of their quarters in the Mage District. Dark Iron Dwarves and Mechagnomes would make themselves at home in the Deeprun Tram, the Dark Irons near the Brawlers Guild and the Mechagnomes near the Tram. Seriously the Tram is also heavily underutilized. Kul Tirans would appropriately stick to the harbour. Maybe they would rebuild the harbour into a full-blown harbour district with their own tavern/bar and market. Just my two cents. It will propably never happen, but hey, we can dream....

The portals to Darnasus and Undercity where added in Cata.

The dark spear trolls took back their home islands so they didn’t really need as prominent a district in Org anymore. The newly arrived goblins however were homeless and did need a suitable living space. I think that’s more the case than hinting at Garrosh’s heel turn since he was still honorable early in Cata.

Org area removed cause I loved to death grip people in the fire and chain cc people. I liked that arena they really should have kept environmental hazards or add a new arena/skirmishes that have some.... make the water in the UC one do poison damage etc.

Don't call Stormwind the Alliance hub. The Alliance hub was Ironforge until Cataclysm. The only reason anyone went to Stormwind before then was to buy PVP gear.

Orgrimmar is too Warlike, never really liked the revamp. I don't know just my opinion. Feel like it could be larger and make the cayon its built in feel bigger. Seige of Orgirmmar raid's expansion of Org could be used to make it make sense.

How come the horde didn't do anything with Stormwind after conquering it after the second war? Like they just conquered the city and then peaced it? Surely they could've used the existing infrastructure and resources and turned it into one of their own cities?

havent watched the video yet but lemme tell you, as someone who plays on Moon Guard (laugh at me idc) the city of Stormwind has _never felt so alive_ with how many people are doing things in each corner o the city. on wyrmrest accord however, all the horde do is SIT IN ONE SPOT IN ORGRIMMAR AND JUST STAND THERE... it's so bad, why do Horde RPers suck??

Undercity best city, compact and easy to navigate. Orgrimmar is a convoluted mess. Stormwind is also a mess.

Haven't played WoW since the end of Cata, didn't like the direction the game was going. However I did enjoy all the graphical updates they did over the years. This video was cool because I've never seen the cities after Cata. If I could get Burning Crusade server with all the updated textures/models and shaders, I'd play it.

The 2008 Stormwind WotLK change really surprised me & didn't much care for the change that xpansion & how if changed the feel of the game. The game was never the same after October 2008. Especially after all the Store additions Heirlooms & such... Fuck Activision Blizzard. I hate so much even giving them $15 / month to play Classic but I have to in order to play. Azamous said a fresh Classic is coming this year maybe...?
