This animation captures the essence of the Space Marines a lot better than most do. They're not heroic warriors of justice, they're nightmarish forces of nature with no pity for anyone who stands in their way.

Did you make this? If so I'm impressed! Would have only three suggestions/complaint's: - Drop pod hitting the ground a bit slow imo. - The Space Marines lacked the sound while moving that would make them feel heavy as they are. - It felt odd when near the end the last Space Marine grabbed that Tau and imidietly slowed down and stopped to kill him. Please do not be discouraged by my criticism! I loved the atmosphere. The Marine with he jump pack landing on the Tau was perfect! I could feel the fear and desperation in his movement when he was pined to the ground. I also love that you gave the grey skinned Tau blue blood! Really good work! Ow and the moment when the guardsmen look up to the sky and the theme from Space Marine starts to play... PERFECT!

Man the Guardsmen were lucky that they send the blood ravens and not blood angels. Or even worse THE FUCKMOTHERING FLESH TEARERS!

1:37 by far the most badass one-liner for an invasion/rescue mission ever.

2:05 This single scene really portrays the sheer hatred and loathing that the Space Marines hold for the xenos they face, even when their faces are covered; the way in which he slowly, ever so slowly, turns down his Bolter to the xenos before ending its life really shows how disgusted the marine is of the foul cretin beneath his boot - savoring every moment until the last where the trigger is pulled. Glorious work, for the Emperor!

In all the cinematics with chain swords they're awesome but here they came across as horrifying.

That was a BRUTALLY honest depiction

Imagine. Your whole life was working day in and day out worshipping the Emperor in your thoughts. Glad to be of some service to him. Then comes the day you are Enlisted in the Imperial Guard. Fear overtakes you but you would not dream of denying your Emperor nor your people a body for the Bulwark. You get sent to some Emperor forsaken rock only to be assaulted by Xenos. For every loss the Tau take a hundred of yours or more are cut through like so much cheese. As you hide behind a barricade thinking its your last you send one finalnprayer to the Emperor. Hoping that what you have given was enough and that he looks favorably on your company. Right as you notice the gun in your face your fellow Guardsmen saves you from the Xeno. You both feel the hopelessness of the situation. The impotent rage at being so small against so large a threat. Then you see it and just as you do so it has already landed. You see a sight you never thought you would have seen as a child working in the mines. Before you stands a group of The Emperors Finest. His angels. They look at you and you feel how great thet are. You wonder what they think of you and what has been managed till their arrival as they charge past bringing the Emperors Will to the battlefield.

I actually like how tactical the Tau are in this

When I see a space marine I don't get happy, I just find myself wondering, "were the fuck were you 3 months ago?"

I came here for the song, stayed for the animation. That first Tau trying to scramble away under the Astartes' boot was on point. Well done.

This was brilliant! The only thing that jarred was the drop pod landing: it's supposed to be a shock weapon. It hit the ground OK but then really took its time opening up. In the lore, the doors are blown open with explosives. The space marines should be out in a second, bolters blazing. When a drop pod lands, the enemy is totally disoriented and finds marines tearing them apart before they can even register what is is happening.

"We came here to do two things, and two things only: Purge xenos, and steal property, and we already stole your property, so let's do this!"

You could really feel the fear of the one Tau who suddenly had a marine landing on him.

This was really really good. i'd love to see at you and a team of writer and animators could do in a year. The way the Tau moved was excellent, and one could definitely feel the fear and desperation they had when engaged in such close quarters. It felt so real, and actually made me personally uncomfortable.
