I have heard a story about a German shepherd. One time there was an intruder late at night in a woman's house who lives with her two little kids. The intruder entered by climbing the fence. The dog immediately alerted the woman without making any sound and hid beside the main door completely calm without making any noise. Then the intruder broke the main door and entered the house, the dog was still hidden beside the door . The intruder took 4-5 steps inside the door and then the german shepherd attacked him so the intruder had no place to escape. No barking, no sound just broke his leg and arms. And the woman said she never trained him to do this it was just all his shepherd instinct.

There was a news story about a lady and her son being protected by their dog a stranger entered their house from the back door. She said in the interview that she was expecting her brother so she didn’t think anything of it when she heard the person enter, but when she came to say hi she realize she didn’t know him. The dog had seen the intruder come in and was sniffing and checking him out (and was also keeping itself in between the intruder and the room where the mom and son were) but as soon as the lady screamed the dog immediately started biting and jumping on the guy. This is exactly how every guard dog should be. So trusting of the owner and so in tune with their emotions.

The way he “huffs” before they start barking is what gets me every time, LMAO. My chihuahua does the same, making little whispered “wuff” & “ooph” sounds for 1-2 mins; then she just goes ham, with a mad “rowowowowowowowow” & charges toward the “intruder”! 🐕‼️😂

My “Aria” will certainly give it a good effort at first, but then, after a few moments of bravado, she’ll probably get spooked, run to the safety of our bedroom & will either sit on her big fluffy blanket-covered floor bed next to mine, or else she will hide under my “at home hospital-grade” bed for safety (as I rarely ever leave this bed, Aria feels it’s her “safe spot”, where her Mummy can protect her from any outside threats). Regardless of this, the barking will definitely continue as long as the “intruder” lingers in our home! 🤷‍♀️🐕🤣

@@genisisdawn Hello, Let me give you a little perspective you may not have. I own a cane corso as well as a rottweiler. The rottweiler (male) is 1yr old and the Cane (female) is 4yrs old. I had a man approach my fence to pet the rottweiler through it because he was being playful and goofy as hes still a puppy mentality till he matures. My cane lunged at the chain link fence barking visiously and was ready to tear him up. She is protective of every member of our pack including the rotty,. These dogs are a force not to be reckoned with. They were bred to be estate guardians in Italy as well as take down large game like wild boar. If you think you need to train this into them you are mistaken my friend.

Cats?? Um....yeah, I'd NEVER trust a cat to be any sort of guard or protector, lol. There are some that may alert only because they hear something and they'll look in that direction but u have to actually be paying attention. While there have been a handful that have actually attacked. definitely don't expect to be helped by them in general. In fact, intruders count on people having cats over dogs to target places.

Actually cats have a better hearing than dogs. Unlike wat most ppl think its not that dogs, cats and most animals hear sounds harder than us but they are more sensitive like they hear higher/lower frequencies than us. Also theyre able to hear sounds with a lower dB. But maybe its different for lions and tigers? Cant find a source but this is just my hypothesis: Lions roar in a low pitch this way the sound can be heard from ~70 km far away. In this case lions might not need the same good hearing as house cats. But im not an expert this is just a theory. Im not sure where you heard/read that but if youre willing to share the source it would be appreciated.

@@MissxLariz they dont hear more or less, or better or worse...they simply hear different frequencies of sound.
