Hey Katrhyn Sorry my English is not the best. But I will try to give an explanation about the "slemme / slemmet" word. You can also use the word "opslemme". Before I wrote my bachelor I had never heard about the Danish word "opslemme", but we made a study with mixing a solid into a fluid. Usually people will call this "at opløse" (to dissolve). But some solids can't be dissolved in the fluid, and therefore there's another word for it in Danish, and that's "opslemme".. So when you can't "opløse" something, you "opslemmer". I think the English word for it can be "slurry". Wikipedia says that "A slurry is a mixture of denser solids suspended in liquid, usually water." It also fits with what you're saying "let the chalk fall to the bottom so there's a clear layer of water on top". So I think the correct translation should be "chalk slurry". :-)

That makes so much sense! A slurry is the perfect word to describe the mix. Thank you for clearing up a long time of questions:)

Hi there! I just found your channel because I am currently researching the use of eelgrass as a construction material for my graduate interior design class and am focusing on the Eelgrass Houses on Laeso. I think its such an amazing material and has so many great uses, I can't wait to see how it unfolds and how I could possibly be a part of it!

Let it sit for several hours and it should be fine! Also make sure that the chalk is finely milled before you dump it in the water.
