Stay long forever. Stop trying to market time the declines. You will never make money doing this. Never ever sell and buy like tomorrow when the declines do come. When things appear to be the end of the world like March 2020…buy buy buy. No guess work. Dollar Cost Average buy into huge declines. Always do this throughout your life and when you get to 60 you will be very rich.

One thing I would add is de globalizationan and on shoring. Jobs have been slowly returning as on shoring returns. Thus no manufacturing recession and but higher inflation since it is going to be much more expensive to manufacture those cheap goods from china with our high labour costs.

Just keep buying, if you had invested at any point between 1900 and 2023 you would be ahead today. Just keep buying amd holding. Panic sell is when you lose out.

Recession came to existence after the FED had came to existence. It is far from normal.

if the FED and the gov print and spend money, you avoid a recession - that's what happened in 20 and 21 - only when they reduce the money supply - or it just goes sideways does a recession appear - once folk know that and when they see credit drying up, then within a year or so you know a recession is coming

After getting absolutely clapped trying to call a market top in 2023, I've stepped back to take a much more neutral/wait and see stance. Right now, I think the nasdaq is nearing the end of its outperformance over the S&P. Maybe by the end of the summer it will put in a final peak. The Russel 2000 small caps actually look like they are set up to outperform. I don't think it's time to be bearish yet. If anything, interest rates may be putting in a peak for a few months along with the dollar which should be bullish for stocks barring a major "oopsies" event.
