What a wonderful introduction. I knew, essentially, nothing about Methodism. Thank you.

This was so well explained. Let me tell you this. For those of us who are Christians but migrated here in thr 80's have always been confused by the denominations of the faith here. For example, my family and I came from Eritrea, Africa. You know what we are. We're the good old oriental Orthdox Christians. I've been in the states since I was 18 months old. Being the color black in America. The native black kids from America and their church was so different from my church. It's everywhere in so many forms. The white people had church but theirs was even more complex (Protestants, Mormons, Evangilicans, and Lutherans ect). The good thing about being Eritrean Orthodox is that before the 2000's we hadn't really established our own church in the states. We went to the Greek Orthodox church. My God parents ended up being British and members of that church. America has so many forms of the faith that it led me down a path of career that resembles that. I'm studying to be a high school geography teacher. So many parts of the world and the people's of it represent my upbringing and life. So much so that my ambitions towards being a teacher are greatly reflected in it. I've grown up in America so I've always been very aware of English history. These people in this country of America, such as the founding fathers and the other races that contributed didn't start here. When the priest explained about the Church of England and the issue with the people in the states once the war was over. I completely understood. Thank you again for this wonderful video. God bless 🙏🏿

Not a mention of where they left from in the late 1700s so I’ll have to tell you.. my little village of Pill, Somerset on the banks of the muddy Avon. ⚓️🦈. Home of the infamous Pill Sharks.

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. James 3:1

No mention of John Wesley's rejection of Reformed theology and his distancing himself from the Reformed theologians who came before him. Arminianism and Calvinism should at least be mentioned when discussing the "history of Methodism", don't you think? This was one of the most important motivating factors that drove John Wesley and that lead directly to the establishment of the Methodist denomination.

It was like a thorn in their side really. The battle over is this way or that way. The thought that it must be an either/ or divide is completely wrong . Both positions are equally valid because both positions have significant scriptures that support the particular contentions. Both concepts are valid and true even if the opinions of some may preclude the possibility that this seeming paradox is in fact a reconciliation of opposites . The Cross being the place where freewill and predestination are mingled freely in the blood of our Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ the Lord

I think not. Calvinism teaches limited atonement, among 4 other damnable heresies. While arminaism teaches one can lose their salvation in Christ. BOTH WRONG. These make God a liar. Ephesians 1:7. Ephesians 1:13-14. Sealed with the holy spirit. That blood stained gospel is forever. Lets get in the Bible.. rightly divide it. He’s coming soon for his church. Don’t be left behind for the tribulation period.. trusting in self righteous works.

I respect that he framed the history in terms of "adding" to the Anglican/Episcopalian Church. There's been many schisms in the Christian religion, but Methodism isn't one of them, and it's never tried to advertise it as the "superior faith"...it's a faith-based sect, and that is all

Hong Kong are among the first China to receive Methodism. Most of Asian Methodist Mission came from Hong Kong and Mainland China before World War 1 and World War 2. In my Country, Methodism mission came from Hakka people who were Methodist Christian in 1870.

Strange how when God chooses a man to go out among men,he chooses men with NO affiliation to any religion. He uses men hated by religions. The ways of men are in contrary to that of God.Israel is not a country for God,Israel is a people he chooses out of the many places scattered in the world. But man thinks it is a place or religion,That might explain why so many will take the broad road when the antichrist comes. They will say they are doings God's will as they kill His People.Just as the Jews and Romans did to Christ and the Christians following. Then they created a roman catholic church and made their own religion,as they will make a one world religion once again.Babylon is no mystery to God's chosen.
