Hello and welcome to The Whoniverse, in this video I am going to be serving you a look into the History of a species which were forced into slavery but escaped through the power of song. This is the History of the Ood.
The Ood are a fairly simple race that depend on a strategy of brain over their brawn, 3 brains to be precise as the Ood have a huge hind brain binding all Ood together. The Ood are peaceful but can be possessed relatively easily causing their eyes to glow a different colour with the most common colour being red. So who exactly are the Ood and what do they get up to?

Ah my very first doctor who alien, I remember when me and my dad found the impossible planet and the satan pit on demand, he watched doctor who as a kid and had no idea the show had returned to modern day. I remember seeing how surprised he was about how much the effects had improved then this things head popped up. These creatures in particular were so interesting as both monster and victims to a far more evil power, cute in behavior but creepy at the same time. My uncle HATES them funny enough, and he was really upset about that ine pod that kept appearing in doctor visions like in waters of mars! Pfft.

Daniel Williamson actually, there are a number of different genesises of the Cybermen. The 12th Doctor actually referred to Cybermen as an act of “Parallel Evolution”

@@thepariah3516 Also embracing what it is and playing it straight also helps with immersion. The problem with modern genre movies is the entire thing is treated as one big joke. Like a self-aware comedy. One thing I see incommon with anime is that they both pull of otherwise absurd stories. Whether it's sentient weeping angels or living snow.

It's ironic, in Series 4 "The Fires of Pompeii" The 10th Doctor and Donna visit Pompeii on the day Pompeii was wiped out in the volcanic disaster and in the following episode "Planet of the Ood", The Ood are slaves of humanity.

@@melonlordx In Planet of the Ood, Oods have been enslaved by humans. In ancient Rome, the Roman Empire would conquer other countries and tribes and enslave those for profit.

Honestly, I just want to know more about the rest of their anatomy. Like, where is it’s heart(s)? Does it reproduce like humans? Can they even speak human?!
