Do you hit your irons straight and long but struggle with your driver? This is the reason why! This is a simple drill to help hit your driver longer, straighter and gain distance!
This drill will help you massively if you hit your irons well but then lose control with your driver! Strike can sometimes go out the window with driver and we struggle to hit the driver longer than our irons! We need to go into greens and gain distance with driver.
This video is simple to follow, and is broken down into stages by PGA Alex Elliott Golf.

My sessions on the range are: Irons: 58 degree till 5 iron: like a robot, amazing feel of compression, perfect divots, ridiculous distances for my standards (PW 140 ish carry), I feel on top of the world. 3 wood: couple of bad ones, some good ones Driver, out of 10 balls: 6 pull + snap hook into OB 150y ish, 1 sky ball either slight push or pull 150y ish, 2 high push+silces 200y ish, 1 straight bomb 270 ish. All the iron dopamine is gone down the toilet, makes me wanna quit the game. Rinse and repeat. I am long enough to score in the low 80s with irons only, as GIR isn't a difficulty in my rather short home course. But where is the fun in that... :/

Thanks Alex! Watched this right before heading out to the range. The tip about the placement of the right hand was spot on. Had a really good range session, could feel the club release. Hopefully it works tomorrow on the course! Lol

How did you know? This feels personal! Lol the exact video I need. Flushing irons. Maybe a bit left or right but crispy. Driver? Horrid. Not slice but every one is off the heel. No distance and sky high 7/10 times

Let me give you a little golf insight. If driver is working irons won’t. If irons are working, driver wont. If both are working putter won’t. Welcome to golf!

I'm hoping you can take some constructive criticism here: Few things annoy me more than when an instructor releases a video about how to hit the driver better but then only addresses the SLICE and never even mentions that some golfers (like myself) actually struggle with HOOKING the driver. Yes, I understand that the majority of golfers struggle with a slice but some of us actually have the exact opposite problem. It just baffles me that real PGA teaching professional would completely ignore people who miss fairways to the LEFT instead of to the right. This is the third video in a row that I've watched today with a title similar to "how to hit your driver better" and then the video never addresses anything other than how to fix a slice. There are a billion videos out there on how to fix a slice. It's infuriating.
