maybe its best patch for me since i play jan 2021. always talked about nerfing rg cause i hate that weapon that was not originally in quake, i play since ql but i loved q3dm13. was thinking about longer reload but ammo nerf is also good. and its nice you can practice tracking on mg or hmg in a way closer to lg

Anarki and Sorlag didnt need a speed cap nerf, and Athena didnt need that 3rd grapple back Athenas already OP as heck, her grapple recharges so fast, once you've used 2 another is charged. The fact she does damage with grapple, does multiple impossible maneuvers with grapple, and gets that over powered ledge and ramp passive jump is reason enough she shouldnt get 3 grapples, oh well. I did notice something last night though, I get that the hitboxes are different, but the game feels more snappy. I judge it by my Rail accuracy in instagib, I did a medium difficulty 100 frag limit dm17 longest yard warmup and did 73% rail, and then a 61% on nightmare difficulty. It felt like they actually fire exactly when I click, which is a drastic difference from a day ago, I was having millisecond lag on most rail shots forcing me to track enemies slightly after shooting as it was shooting late. They did something, I'm not sure what but its snappier. Lightning seems harder with the weird change, something to do with ray traced instead of cylinders or something, we'll get used to it I guess. The lone winterized awoken is a bit better to look at than a few PTS updates ago, less hard on the eyes lol. The decreased rail ammo in regular game modes is garbage though.

That might be due to using directx mouse vs raw input, which for some reason has a bit of input lag to it

I also feel athena was fine with 2 hooks, still very viable pick.

Mg is better for me, lg a bit harder to aim. But rail lands better somehow, maybe due to using directx input.

for the 1st time i was able to play on equal slash vs scale vs that 1 guy i always used to be dfestroyed by when on slash vs scale. i was able to kill him during bullrush dodging which was never possible before

67% was borken as f. when clutch had 40% only. now scale has 50% reduction

Not a fan of the railgun changes, nor the champions getting their speedcaps lowered. :S Feels almost like changes that would be made, if they were trying to make the game more controller friendly. :o

It would be good to see this game on PS5 and Xbox Series though, not sure if Xbox One or PS4 could handle it.

this might be the worst patch i've seen Quake get in a long time. they nerfed everything fun or that was balanced. now there are more imbalances
