As for my own tangent about DPRK, I remember having the 2006 World Cup game for the Nintendo DS, and had the 2002 Tournament DVD where South Korea shithoused their way to the last 4. So imagine my 8 year old surprise to learn there was another Korea, and decided that they were the team I was going to use and take to the world cup, without knowing anything else about the DPRK.

Chill out folks. North Korea actually reached the Quarter Final of the 1966 World Cup. The players returned to the U.K. in 2006 to visit . They were in good shape and had a very nostalgic trip.

Hey Alfie, could you do a video about the Nigerian Premier League? I read somewhere that only 5% of the results in league history are away wins due to incidents like away team players and referees been attacked by fans before games and corruption etc. I know a few years ago the league was suspended. Also if you look at betting odds on Nigerian games the home team is virtually always odds on favourite to win irrespective of league position of the two teams and I think this season the most away points for a single team is a lower total than the lowest home points in the league. Anyway I'm probably in a minority of one with this request but just a thought.

I mean I get that NK hates "losing face" from losing but how can they not understand that punishing/executing athletes from losing is a stupid way of developing their sports program and discovering talent? A lot of talented younglings would probably avoid becoming athletes, if losing (which is a possibility for anyone in any sport) means risking life imprisonment or labor camp or execution. It is not a stretch that young north koreans would know about executions or punishments for losing athletes because their media seems to love publishing news like that. I know I would rather get a normal job, as shitty as a normal job there is, or if I had to risk my life, I would rather risk it by crossing the border to China and then going to South Korea, escaping the country entirely.
