Great summary :D I found it surprisingly hard to find comparison videos so this was perfect :) i was looking at Smai and Tokaido, but since you did'nt mention smai once i guess i have my answer :P

Here is my sum-up: The 4 are Natsuko's favorite brands. - SKIF Hisho: nice design (Kanazawa autograph), good to promote SKIF, smooth mixture material, string easy to untight, most expensive. - Tokaïdo Hiryu: thick material, perfect look for competition, economical, fits perfectly your body, not 100% cotton but feels like . - Shureïdo New Wave 2: be careful to order 1 size below the other ones, looks very nice too, hard material, designed for Okinawan climate (hot and wet) or for sweaty person, good for large people, well designed to tight/untight the string, mixture material too. - Hirota Pitak Kumite: hard to untight, perfect for kumite, very light, easy to move, smooth, but not for humid places, always available in stores - Hirota Pinak kata: Natsuko's favorite, hard material, nice collar, easy to move, hold your shape, nice noise, ideal for photo shooting - Hirota Takumi: the most expensive Hirota gi, a bit lighter than Pinak, softer material Brodery possible for SKIF and Hirota only.

Online martial arts lesson have become highly relevant especially when there is a pandemic happening. Anyway, if there is one thing I noticed with Shotokan practitioners, they have several types of Dogis. Those I know who practice Shotokan have that specialized "kata" Gis where such can create a nice sound when they perform their katas.

The best is to ask the manufacturers directly or google. They all have English pages so you can send an email from there. I don’t sell them so I don’t know. I always buy them directly from Japanese shops and ask them to ship over. Right now, although Japan post office is closed for international shipping, you can still use DHL to get uniforms delivered.

Where do you reside? You can email Hirota Japan directly mentioning my name. tokyo@karategi-hirota.co.jp and they can deliver internationally via DHL. If you live in Europe, then go to the HIROTA Europe site.
