It’s that time of year again where I visit HMNB Devonport for the weekly siren test. I loved it as usual. Hope you enjoy it!

What an eerie echo! Heard this the other week while filming the USS Mesa Verde. Definitely makes your heart stop when you forget they have tests!

Funny you uploaded this it went off again yesturday for over an hour ( false alarm) apparently there was a fault on a single siren which set them all going

No not all of them went off, only 1 went off as it was louder in one area than others. I was in Plymouth when the false alarm occurred and I thought there was a radiation leak. I know all too well about the consequences and took the alarm very seriously

It’s coming along good, I’ve decided to sign up for the Plymouth text notification system so if anything untoward happens whilst I’m there, I get notified

@@BritishLifeSafetySystems I found a small red siren at Poole port. It reminds me of the ones that RS Components sold a while back. No clue what it actually is though. 50°42'31.4"N 1°59'37.0"W Annoyingly KZfaq won’t let me link the location. Also quite close to that is the Perenco Wytch Farm oilfield which has a siren, but I’ve yet to find it!

@@hmsirensandfirealarms definitely isn’t a GP3! It looks like those rare small sirens RS Components branded and sold a while ago. There was one on eBay a while ago as well.
