Recently purchased this watch with the SS strap. The dial and blue hands are wonderful.

I like your watch. I live outside of India so I can't buy one. However, I did order a couple of refurbished HMT franken's to play with. I hope they run for awhile. That's a shame that we can't order a new one outside of India. I just recently bought a Shanghai handwind watch that is in the same class as the HMT Janata. You can buy them on Aliexpress. Those are good watches also.

Hi just wanted to ask did any hmt factory manufactured a model called HMT SLIM. I have two of them - pink dial and a blue dail. The striking resemblance of this model with SONA is great. It has chrome plated case same like Karna. What do you say?

They don't manufacture anything themselves anymore, but some assembly and manufacture is sub-contracted out. The watch in this review uses an old stock movement and dial, and I believe possibly/probably a new case. The hands are obviously new.
