Hello Sir, Nice video. I am a recent admirer to HMT watches from Tamil Nadu. I thought you will be the right person to answer these questions. 1. As HMT company has almost come to its end, if we buy new 'Mechanical' watches from HMT say Janata/Pilot/Sona/Kohinoor etc. incase if it gets repaired, where we can service them? 2. Also, along with the closure of the company, it is most likely that the company service centres will also be closed. Where can we service the watches then? 3. Most important, how we can get fresh spare parts after the clossure of the company? 4. What if we won't be able to repair/service our HMT watches and in future it becomes a show-case piece? PS : I feel very sad for the clossure of the company. Even thinking of initiating a petition to the PM to revive the company again using latest corporate techniques. Thank You.

Indian Voyager your worry is valid but luckily HMT watches have simple watch movements and can be repaired easily at old watch shops. As far as spare parts are concerned repair people easily salvage them from old watches.

D AKANKSH Automatic watches have automatic wounding mechanism.It automatically wounds by the movement of watch in your hand...no need of batteries...mechanical watches are the ones you need to hand wound every 30 hrs ...no need of batteries....BT quartz movement watches need batteries...

@@amirbiswas4985 The seller, Ebonitepens, has a NOS Chirag with a light blue dial on eBay. It is not listed but it is for sale. Just ask him. He is honest. I bought a brown Chirag from him which he shipped to me in the USA.

Sir, I'am a big fan of HMT watches, I'am planning to buy HMT SKELETON model : SASL 02 YD LS after 5-7 months probably by september, In the site it's given "Stock Awaited", So will they restore and make product available?
