Nice Sir!! I recently Purchased HMT Kohinoor (Yellow dial). The Yellow dial doesn't look pretty. I decided to remove it and make the watch skeletal. Pl suggest me that it is a good decision to do so. If it is fine even I want to replace the watch back case with a transparent plastic or crystal. Can you suggest me the best watch repairer in Banglore So that I can modify the appeal of this watch. Hy, All Myself Siddhartha Roy from Kolkata, My Dad & Mom both have Hmt watches from their marriage, can anyone suggest me a good repair shop or man , both the watches were dead. thanks in advance

The stem on my HMT Pilot seems to have come from a different watch as the whole dial can move ever so slightly clockwise and counter-clockwise but it doesn't surprise me at all considering that I bought it from ebay and I've heard that ebay is notorious for HMT franken watches. That's okay though, I really am happy with mine, I've kept it consistently wound for a couple weeks and it's only gained a minute or two. It has a white dial with green markers, perhaps repainted? Maybe HMT made Pilot dials in white, I really don't know. The second hand is silver colored, not red like some others I have seen...does that mean anything significant? Anyway, It's become my daily wearer and I love it. I also own a Sona that looks like it was just made yesterday as it has no scratches or any visible flaws, though I have not opened it to inspect the visual condition of the movement. I took my Pilot to a jeweler and had the back opened...the movement was beautiful, it looked brand new. Great video, very helpful if I ever decide to try and replace the stem with a larger stem that probably goes in it.

dear sir. how can u prove that it is franken. or precisely what do you mean by the term 'franken'? the movement, as you open it shows the "HMT" engraving on it. please enlighten.

If possible, post a video on replacing the crystal in HMT watches sir (doomed plastic crystals). I know, it needs to be removed from top (don't need to ope case back). But not sure how to do it with right tools. Please show some light.

No, if you do that and attempt to place the crown back, the watch will stop working - is what I found. But when I ordered through Ebay, the watvhes arrive with much dust under the glass, you have to remove the crown in order to clean the face. It would have been better if htm watch company had made that glass (acrylic plastic?) covering a screw on top, so all you had to do was unscrew the top to clean the face of the watch. But alas, that is not how it was designed, made. It is another reason why people gave up on mechanical watches to go for the quartzbattery powered ones. But what if they stop ,aking watch batteries? ACCESS IS OWNERSHIP. When most products are bluetooth, (wireless) including the ability to unlock doors, can you trust the State to tell you the correct time, allow you to drive a car, or live in your own house? Wherefore mechanical watches are better. But I have found my experience with htm watches very disappointing.
