It seems to me that the Bluetti EB150 is a better value at $1,000 for 1,500wh of power. I realize the EB150 has a smaller inverter and is missing a couple of things that are on this new Jackery, but a 1,000 watt inverter paired with a 1,500wh battery is probably fine for most applications. Stated differently, I’m not sure an inverter that can drain the battery to zero in 60 minutes is all that useful. If you have loads in excess of 1,000 watts that are non-negotiable, the Bluetti AC200 with a bigger (lifepo4 !) battery seems like a better value at a slightly higher price and with many features that this new Jackery doesn’t have.

Don’t forget lifePo4 don’t work under 0C temp. Jackery still work at -10C. Bluetti ac200p cannot (look the user reviews and specs). But lifecycle are greater. Yes. The ideal would be a new battery type with both advantages. Speciàized battery that work in the cold are more expensive with less lifecycle.

awesome review Prof... disappointed in Jackery for not using LiFePO4 at this price range and already in 2021 :)
@CC-gt3ro3 жыл бұрын
LifePo4 have good lifecycle but they have cons as well. Much much heavier (jackery 2000 is 19kg when Bluetti ac200p is 27kg) and don’t work under 0C degree température which is an issue if it is winter in canada. You would have a generator but it can’t work and would shutdown like the Bluetti ac200p (look at amazon and the review of the guy that tried to use for its farm non heated). The jackery can work at -10C which is a bit better but it cannot charge under 0C according to the specs if i don’t mistaken. You have to think if there is no electricity there won’t be heater so the room will easily go below 0C when outside it is -20 or -15. So lifePo4 is not the 100% solution. Lithium battery specialised for this application are more expensive and with less life cycle, because they use energy to heat themselves. You would need a battery heater but you need energy for that.

The jackery 1500 is better than the ac200p in efficiency and weight, and the inverter is better. Also the jackery 1500 has physical button and don’t rely entire on the screen. Also the screen is readable outside in the sun which is not the case for bluetti ac200p.

I had a problem with 500W Jackery power bank went abruptly dead from appearing fully charged. I was using a 100W Harbor Freight Solar Panels kit with a home built adapter. It would put about 35W into the Jackery and I'd get a False Reading of 99-100% charge, and then the unit would abruptly fail. Since I live not too far from Jackery's main office in Fremont, CA I hand-delivered my unit back to them. I ended up buying one of their proprietary 100 watt solar panel "Books," it delivered more like 70% under hazy conditions. I have the Power Bank Charging on 120VAC at the time of this writing.

Another great review. I have the 240, 300 and the 1500. The 240 and 300 have really surprised me, the 1500, not so much. My main use is 12v and USB. I use them to power my refrigerators and charge batteries, while on off road adventures. Granted, I bought the 1500 at the start of summer, so it's only been used when it is hot during the day and warm at night. Based off of your capacity test, the 12v should have a bit more than 4x the capacity of the 300. I find that is not the case and that it is lower than that. My guess, it's because of that damn fan!!! Even just using the 12v outlet, if it is over 80 degrees, that thing is screaming! I've also noticed that when it is hot, and you are doing pass through charging, it will start to limit the input watts. The 300 or 240 just don't care, until they get too hot and stop charging lol. I am sure those fans will protect the batteries better and extend the life of them. I just can't help but to think that the fan profiles are a bit too aggressive and consume more energy than they really need to. That being said, I'm still glad that I bought it. I'm hoping that now that it's cooling down, I'll start to see better results with it.

I love the size, capacity, faster charging & inverter of this unit, but it’s the battery cycles that turn me off with most all of these units. I think I’m crazy because last week I bought a battle-born 100 amp hr battery and I’m making my own unit, unfortunately it will be overly large, heavy & could be more expensive than this Jackery but all individual parts will be replaceable if one component fails. I always do things the hard way!

Wish they'd always include one unregulated 12V port. There's so much loss with both the regulated 12V and the inverter ports - if you have DC equipment that can run off voltages down to 11V, you can eke out about 10%-20% more run time.

For about $1,375.00 I got a 2200 watt Honda generator and added the hutch mountain propane tri-fuel kit on it. So I can run gasoline, propane and even natural gas. but I've only using propane. Propane as of April 5th 2021 Propane is a $1.49 a gallon and gasoline is $2.55 for 87 octane. With propane I can run the generator, use it for heating, cooking and more. And at times I get free propane I can't beat that deal. Also I made a mobile rainproof generator box. I can run in the rain or light snow 24/7. But sometime I'm going to do some solar and probably a battery box like this. Because they keep getting better, bigger and the price keeps going down with more people in the market. I wouldn't buy one of these unless I plan to use it.

I used the PD input along with the AC adaptor and I was getting amazing charging results, just like Dr. Hobo! But soon the port stopped accepting a PD charge from my PD certified adaptor. The PD port doesn't charge either. Now the green USB light stays on and the unit is slowly discharging without even having anything plugged in. I've tried resetting it multiple times. This doesn't seem like normal behavior. To top it all off (pun intended) the Jackery customer service has been underwhelming to say the least. It's been two weeks since my original order and I still do not have a fully functioning 300. Their response rate to emails is a day or two between messages. My understanding is that the customer service is highly acclaimed but my experience has been less than stellar. All in all, not a good first time experience with Jackery.

Question. I recently seen a video discussing lithium compression. I understand that lithium has a an expanding and contracting process during charging and discharging. The discussion has suggested that through a process of limited compression of the batteries it will extend the life of them by like 40%. Could you possibly do some testing to see if this theory is true in a practical sense?
@CC-gt3ro3 жыл бұрын
It is confirmed by Jackery that the 1500 is not optimized for one panel and are looking into it. With two panel 2x100 per port it is fine and charge 283w as we see. But they have to tweak the efficiency with one panel. Another user compared it to the jackery 1000 and it was better on the jackery 1000 with just one same solar saga panel which confirm the hobotech result. Jackery said they are looking into it.

All you have to do is buy a 3 way 12 volt adapter to expand the 12 volt, same with usb, if your going for a 1500, it’s for the 120v

Just tell me which one to buy! Tell me which invertor, fridge, fan bundle.

I like Jackey's quality a lot... No complaints at all as they have great quality products. But the sound level on those fans is not acceptable, especially on the Explorer 1000. A good cooling system should sound like "Moving_Air", not like a plastique mechanical vibrating sound.

Who knew you could pack so many features into a 1 watt flashlight.

It would be cool if it was a pop out flashlight or at least a multi color disco light! 🔮 might as well make it fun.

if the "1500" is capable of 1800-2000, then what are we going to expect with the "2000" .. why was the 2000 not avail when they launched it last month? Jackery is king of soft release.

I would love this if it included a 30 amp outlet to plug my trailer directly like my Honda gas generator.

Inergy is the only brand I know of who has done this but their newer models seem to have done away with that.

@@406Steven Maybe the next version Jackery will add this outlet.
