The reason why Harry Potter doesn't use the Disillusionment Charm to sneak around is because the charm works by mimicking the appearance of background objects and patters. Anyone could spot him sneaking about if they just looked around for any parallax effects due to changing angle of observation (like a dew drop on a book page, making the word underneath it larger than the words around it). The Invisibility cloak is just better for moving, while the Disillusionment charm is good for standing completely still. I learned this for googling the same question and reading a Harry Potter spell book.

That’s the thing about this game, if you aren’t really the biggest fan of Harry Potter or are more lukewarm about it The early sections of the game are gonna feel VERY slow, and hand holdy. It’s mostly fan service and “OH LOOK AT THIS THING THATS IN THE BOOKS/MOVIES!!” And a lot of Roleplay elements. That being said, as someone who IS a fan of Harry Potter, and someone who’s always wanted a genuine Hogwarts School experience this is what I’ve wanted. It’s not perfect and it’s not even exceptionally Great, but it’s pretty damn good by my metric and milage as a fan. In fact I wish they made it a bit more expansive and immersive . Excuse the shite comparison, but I wish they were like the bully mini games for schooling along side all the main and side quests As a side optional thing that helped to contribute to your end of year points for your house. So you winning the house cup has actual meaning and merit

It's funny. I remember playing Chamber of Secrets on the PS2 and you had a lot of gameplay to do, a lot of things to get through, and once you did, you were rewarded with a brief cutscene. Cutscenes used to be something I was looking forward to, because at the time, having cutscenes that lasted longer than 30 seconds were a luxury. Now it's more like a... gameplay parasite.
