It's really annoying that Germany doesn't do the phoney war when playing the UK or France and just guns straight for France while they are in the middle of invading poland and completely ignore scandanvia

Expert AI doesnt use air dispersed, putting all air forces into a single region which is bad.

I feel like German AI was kinda stupid. They quickly railroaded all their centre to the west , without any precaution, and the russians just encircled them right on the spot, after the western half withdrew. 3 s and 1/6 of their army dissappeared. Could have done it in 2 waves in order not to lose those divs.

Expert ai prioritizes the Easter front, so the entire German army was in Russia, when d-day happened they had to do a emergency relocation, this broke entrenchment and the soviets took the opportunity and attacked strategically the weak spots with armor.

It's so surprising, cause to me optimal factories seems easy to teach to an AI.

From my games, I think the allies are scripted to do D-day landings by 42-43 regardless of the situation in Japan

Basically in NSB even if the allies try an early Naval invasion they usually get pushed out, but when Germany gets too far into the soviet Union is when the Allies can land and destroy Germany (because they built up enough and because germany is distracted enough)

@@supercellodude USA late game will get stupid amounts of resources and then wins it for the allies, while in reality the German armies were defeated in the east and the USA in Europa only faced the elderly, the war weary veterans and the children, not the top notch army divisions the Russians faced and they still struggled often despite numerical superiority... If you remove the army from the ideology and look past the atrocities against groups of people, you cannot help but respect the way the wehrmacht performed given the circumstances. Just to emphasize: i don't agree with the ideology or the actions at play in Germany during WW2.

Ai probably knows if you garrison your ports If you garrison them the naval invasion will stop being done

@@PadaV4 - yes. They are programmed to lose. They will rise rapidly and collapse even faster. Also they are the OG interesting "characters" in the game since all the other factions are just reacting. I always like to see some twists that change the outcome since it is unusual.

Because villains are charismatic, and the nazis are especially charismatic and unique. It just would be more interesting if the nazi win in hoi4. But in reality, all forms of dictatorship cause a lot of suffering, as i russian citizen, i can feel it for sure.

but hey, it's the _mods_ that break the game and historical ai and that it's your fault if historical breaks. the game is perfectly well optimized in the ai and performance department. according to the infinitely wise words of reddit anyways.

@@collectibletaco7797 Reinstalling is a last resort, it would take an hour or two to reinstall. It's the most retarded MP system I've ever played.

Its part of AI, they wont defend if its not worth it, they will also pull out units if they are at risk of encirclement: British always build large army, wait till USA join Allies and Germany is busy with Soviets then launch massive naval invasion on Normandy or Italy.

Expert AI changes how the AI handles their economy, focus trees, in it templates…it’s not little difference just because the outcome in this was similar, it’s a pretty massive difference

@@SinfullyHera only thing that matters for AI in these type of games is what you see on the map, doesn't matter how AI handles economy, it anyway cheats

Yeah Paradox never manages to balance all major nations, most of the problems are with Germany and the soviet union since it's hard to suddenly make a nation recover and suddenly make another nation to quickly decline, but it could be easily fixed with automatic focuses and events to weaken or strengthen the states
