Drinking age was 18 in my time. A punishment that's seared into my memory is being made to pour an entire case, short 2 beers, of ice cold Old Milwaukee, one by one, onto the ground next to my car. 1969 Nova. And we didn't have another $4.80 to buy another one. Cop was a real A-hole right? Little did he know that my buddy had a dime bag of "red haired Cince" tucked up under his 🥜's (about $40 worth today)

The first family car I got to enjoy was a 1964 Chevy Impala; the back seat was the ultimate crib. After my sister came along, they decided to trade it in for a station wagon. It was a 1966 Chevy Impala Station Wagon, of course. Then the gas crisis hit, and he got a white Ford Pinto to go back and forth to work. I used to have to clean accumulated tar off the lower panels with a tooth brush and some noxious solvent on a semi-regular basis. I learned a lot about patience, and possibly some other things from that (like never buy a Ford Pinto).

When you first show up and the guy says "yeah, say you can go back there and park by the dumpsters and we'll get rid of it for you after the show." People just don't truly understand as to what this car was and what it became. Seems everyone thinks you shot it up yourself? Oh and why aren't you going to "fix" it? Holey Goat, it is fixed!
