I grew up going to Missouri at my grandfathers farm. Out side of Springfield a place called Mansfield. When I watch your videos and hear the cicada and outside noise. It’s Like I’m Back there again, not to mention my grandfather was a huge car guy so your channel is just idea for memory overload

My favorite KZfaq vehicle! I'm a Pontiac guy. Amazing engines. Holey Goat lives! There's not too many like her left and the mere fact that you got this example to run and drive is awesome. Some day, when they're all either gone or in museums, somebody is gonna concourse restore Holey Goat.

Dalton, I have my seat bolts sideways too. I call it "pre-loading" to add strength for those times I am pulling high G's when cornering, LOL. To Pontiac engine owners. Do yourself a favor and hack the water crossover off the manifold so it can be left mounted when removing the intake. Keep up the good fight!!!

I don't know what's wrong with my brain but when those proper buckets landed in that goat, the whole car just came together for me 😂

So to correctly use a piston stop to locate TDC you put the piston off TDC, install the stop, wind clockwise until contact, mark balancer, wind counterclockwise until contact, mount balancer. Then exactly between those two points is TDC. What you’ve just done is nothing resembling TDC, and by the looks of how close that balancer was with a stop, I’d say it’s MILES out. Love the videos. Hopefully this helps.

I am amazed again. I never ever used vise grips to bolt a seat. I do recall using a upsidedown 5 gallon buck to try my 750 dual pumper 440 magnum in my 1970 barracuda in my younger days. I've grown up before the internet gave me a fabulous sense of humor. Thanks for sharing

Really trying not to sound weird when I say this, JD is lucky as hell to have a father like you. I've always been a black sheep in my family trying to be a motorhead and I've learned a ton between you and Junkyard Digs. Love the content you put out and keep up the good work!

I would put flex tape over the holes in the roof over the front seat, wouldn't bother with the back as it adds ventilation and a water feature in the back. 🙂 love the vids, keep on keeping on. 🙂

What I've learned from this channel is, self-tappers solve many problems.

I think he should put LEDs or you know like glow lights inside the doors, fenders, rear quarter panels, trunk or anywhere that would look cool with light shining through the bullet holes from the inside out.

When you use a piston stop vs. a dial indicator to find TDC, Rotate the engine until it stops, slowly and carefully. Mark the balancer at the 0 degree mark. Then, rotate the crankshaft in the opposite direction until it stops and mark the balancer again. Measure from mark to mark and the center of those two marks is TDC.

For cutting the polycarbonate, router was the correct answer. It can be bent/formed if you stay within the correct temperature window. Too cool and it won't bend, too hot and it bubbles. Slowly soak the heat through it; the temperature range isn't as wide as acrylic, if memory serves. I just ran across my factory tech brief folder earlier today. I can look up the exact numbers if you need them..

In 1988, I got my oil changed on my 1967 Plymouth Fury IIi. It cost $10 to have it done a jiffy lube. Which was almost the same price as the lead additive I had to use in that 383. I miss that car.

I kept my '69 Camaro as original and period correct as possible but I couldnt resist replacing the points ignition with the progression distributor. It looks completely original unless you really look closely and it is so much easier to tune on. Also their customer service is excellent, I had an issue and they sent me a whole new unit immediately.

Oil , straight 40W Valvoline VR-1 with high zinc $9.98 a quart x 5 quarts plus a Wixs deep filter----- $65.00 for a oil change. Same price on E bay for VR-1 oil. South Florida

The most creative I ever got with seat installation was putting bucket seats from a Subaru in a 63 Chevy 1/2 ton

As we both know your GTO came stock with a 750 CFM Q - Jet, so with a 625 CFM carb it will be down a little bit on power, but will run really well in combination with the duel plane manifold. Also you need something stainless steel to block off a heat crossover.

Ya gotta love The Holey Goat, it's the ultimate poor boys street machine. Some people will call you a hillbilly but if you spend your money on parts to go and stop the only part of the car they're going to see is the back. Rust is lighter than carbon fiber and a lot cheaper. 🐐😁

Dalton, u r an honest 2 god legend!! U were asking about motor oil prices. I ride a 1200cc triumph Tiger explorer motorcycle & I pay £40 for 5 litres of oil, the bike takes about 4 litres. So that's about $45 for the oil. That's over here in Scotland in the UK. Keep up your fantastic videos!!!

I just paid $145 to have the oil changed in my 2010 SRT8 Challenger with Kenne Bell 2.8LC blower of course. And I forgot to say I use Pennzoil Platinum.

I just got the oil for the Mustang, eight quarts of Motocraft semisynthetic 5W30. I just closed my eyes and paid it. It's the only new car I've ever owned so I'm trying to take care of it, so far it looks pretty good for a twelve year old car.
