My home was built in the 1740s and it’s sooooo cold, we’ve just hung a heavy curtain across 2 of the doorways and it’s made such a huge difference to the temperature and it’s pretty too and you could take them down or style them differently when it’s warm ❤️

I love the kitchen floor, and I agree that the white makes it look so much more open and airy in there! Love that you move stuff around and change it constantly. I do the same, and it can make or break your mood or attitude sometimes. Not quite sure how some people can decorate once and keep it for years!

I have an idea for your doors that need priming and painting. Try doing a casual Q&A or tag video (something you can just talk about with the camera on a tripod) as you prime and paint! The time will fly by!

Hi Hermione! I love all the renovations you have done in your house, everything looks so cozy, happy and inviting! Just a suggestion on your new doors, I think it would be easier to hang the doors first then prime and paint them. They will be hung up already and you don't have to worry about the paint job getting messed up when trying to hang the doors after their painted and ruining all your hard work! Just went back and watched your first house tour and forgot how different it looked like you didn't even have a kitchen before you should feel so proud of how far you have come and think of everything you have already done , I love watching your videos they always cheer me up and make me so excited to be able to buy a house in the future and decorate it xx

Loved the video! The floor looks gorgeous now! Quick question- I'm not sure if you would be interested, but I was hoping you won't mind doing a video with all your supplies like paint rollers, brushes, top coats and stuff? I'm struggling with finding good basic items like that for good price! Or if you could at least tel me which rollers you like best for pairing things like doors and small surfaces I would vary much appreciate It! Thank you x

As as restoration nut, I am so glad you are keeping the doors! So much of your house has been lost over the years and keeping these only adds value. Just think if they still had the original hardware. Having them professionally restored is the way to go although you have done a good job yourself. I have house envy. Would love to see the outside architecture of your home.

Love the floor I use Murphys oil soap on all my wooden doors,antiques and trim etc.I will really bring out the wood - especially old doors etc. I moved into a old house last year with lots of woodwork and old doors. It made them look so much better.

YES! I don't know how anybody can clean anything made out of wood in their house, without Murphy's Oil Soap.

I have been thinking this for a while. But I just love your content. It is so fitting for my life at the moment. I am a homeowner of one year and at every turn something is going wrong or breaks. But seeing your videos I am always energized to get cracking and get back at it. I am taking one room at the time, to keep my sanity! But when everything needs your attention, it is sort of hard to keep to that philosophy.. but when you are tackling an even older house with such a smile. I just know that I can take one more day 😊

I'm so envious, in the US there's usually only one energy provider per state so you're stuck with one your whole life (or at least as long as you live in that state)

K B the cities in California choose what energy provider there is. Like in Orange you use Edison but in Anaheim there is Anaheim utilities.

Fixing or repairing wood doors is easier when you fill the holes, cracks and scrars with wood filler and then sand it after its dried. I love old Victorian homes. My dream home. Good luck!

Here in USA we have Craigslist. You can look for parts for your home. Doors are always listed and who knows? Maybe you will find Victorian doors in better shape very cheap. Worth a try.

If you're not going to use your fire stuff the chimney to stop droughts . I used old duvets and pillows but you can buy the proper thing . I also put a small board in front painted it in chalk paint and now for e.g. write Merry Xmas etc., xx

Yeah my flat is a bit old and gets cold so easily, the walls dont retain heat at all. As soon as i turn off, its back cold in no time.

What kind of cleaning products is it that you use? You have one subscriber down there who says she uses Murphy's Oil Soap. So do I. There's a video I'd like to see. I love Murphy's Oil Soap. It is really good stuff. You can use it on more than just 'anything' made out of wood. Your house is looking very beautiful Brit...🇬🇧
