What's the function of political appointees? The PS is the main advisor to Ministers of Gavman. Gavman Caucus also influence Gavman decisions. Gavman can be advised on any matter by academics on consultancy basis. We must be careful not to be 'ruled' by unelected officials as the case of USA.

SPM is not a political appointee...but is appointed by the PSC.

CDO's, CPO's, CT's are also political appointees including other PA's. I don't believe their appointments will be based on MERITS...political influence play 99% on their appointment so don't fool the public on "MERIT" selection
