HomeKit Secure Video Support for Any Camera - NEW METHOD (2023)

However, Official HomeKit Secure Video Camera’s can be very price. Today’s video is a quick tutorial for how to add HomeKit Secure Video support to your existing IP camera. Meaning that you don’t need to spend hundreds of pounds for each camera. This can be applied to any camera that has an accessible RTSP stream, like in my setup where I’m using the RTSP stream from my Swann DVR.

Great videos, I used your guide to setup Scrypted, Docker, and a Reolink camera for HKSV. The only issue I’m having with HKSV is that video in the motion notification doesn’t play and is showing the image from a few seconds before. Any idea why?

Loved the updated guide, I also used your original guide some time ago, thanks!. Question: When I don't see the "Custom Motion Sensor" within the Extensions in the group. Any idea on what's missing?

So this is a very nice tutorial, I think I’ve got it working. The one thing that is confusing is the device groups when selecting the interfaces are you selecting the device group or are you selecting the camera?

If using HKSV with a camera that doesn't natively support do you still get the full privacy protection that HKSV ensures??

Do you have any issues with artefacts when motion is detected? Got a Swann system as well.

excellent video! any idea why no "motion sensor" shows up when adding the camera to the device group? My camera has motion detection and it is activated in the camera settings.

Yes, love the app, however at 16 cameras and more to come, im not prepared to pay $160+ / year for it. Any other suggestions?

This cool but I would I have to decrease resolution of my existing cameras, and increased traffic on network , its not worth it
