From Season 1, Episode 8: "You Found Me"
Watch The Boys on Amazon Prime Video: AAN.SonyPictures.com/TheBoys
Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. Based on the comic book series of the same name.

He's not just lazy but sloppy. When Superman (DC) or Cyclops (Marvel) use their eyebeams, they are precise down to the centimeter for what they want to do. Homelander constantly over or undershoots targets leading to the scoring all over the place.

I'm not usually a fan of low-light scenes, but it actually works really well with this scene. When most of what you can see is Homelander's glowing eyes, and occasionally being lit up by bullets that just bounce right off him, it really sells him as this malevolent and almost unstoppable force. The music too, when you hear him being referred to as a boogeyman.

@@cyr2097 You're so clueless. They attacked Homelander first like idiots, grabbed their guns and started shooting despite knowing that they couldn't do anything, it was their fault to begin with so everything he did to them was self defense no matter how strong Homelander is, you don't lose your right to self defense just because you're a superhero. Oh and for your information Homelander has a lot of sociopathic qualities and not psychopathic, so get your facts straight because you can clearly see that he's not a psycho if you have a shred of knowledge on that stuff.

There should be an episode where Homelander suddenly realizes that he's lost all of his super-powers. It would be interesting to see how someone with his level of narcissism and illusions of grandeur psychologically deals with suddenly finding out that he's no longer special and is just an ordinary person.

You mean the scene where he forces a girl to kill herself isn't evil? Or the scene where he threatens to destroy the world if Starlight went public with damning information? Or when he killed Supersonic? Or when he held Maeve captive to harness her eggs to create super children? Point being is that yeah there isn't a scene of Homelander lasering down random Saudi soldiers in a warehouse because we already know he would do that. It's already been established. So things like that aren't needed to be seen again.

A few reasons 1. Heat vision is highly destructive and will cause tons of unwanted damage if you aren't careful 2. Heat vision is one of his most lethal powers and Superman doesn't kill 3. Superman is powered by solar radiation and his heat vision drains his solar radiation much faster than any other ability, meaning if Superman uses his heat vision for too long in a short period of time he will just weaken himself.

@@DDodo280I wouldn’t call American soldiers in Vietnam “poorly trained conscripts,” especially considering they weren’t poorly trained and 2/3 of them were volunteers. America killed about 2,000,000 North Vietnamese, and only lost little over 50,000 troops. They didn’t perform horribly, the issue is that they were fighting a war to essentially just delay the downfall of the South Vietnamese government, which was crumbling despite us massively inflating their military.
