@@HomeLinkGentex Lexus NX 2024. It’s a gate opener so I don’t have much of the information. After pressing the Homelink button and it starts blinking orange, I tried clicking the remote in cycles as well as holding it, but nothing happens and eventually Homelink will just stop blinking orange.

Hey Tammy, What vehicle make, model and year are you trying to train in? Some older vehicles use an older version of HomeLink which may require a compatibility bridge in order to be able to communicate with newer garage doors and gates.

@@HomeLinkGentex it's a BFT Ecosol/ Libra UL-R. The remote is a two button oval shape and says 0678 on the back.

@@Sobeewan Hey Sobeewan, after checking with our compatibility list, we are unfortunately not compatible with BFT gates at this time. *Update* If this is for your personal home, or if you can work with your community to add some additional hardware, BFT does offer a HomeLink compatibility upgrade (bftgateopeners.com/store/bft-car-access-kit-compatible-with-homelink-bft-hl-kit.html ). Hi, Stephen. Unfortunately, you will need the garage door remote to program your vehicle. Depending on your garage door opener brand, you should be able to buy a remote directly from their website or from one of their retail distributors.

Does the LED indicator in your mirror change from slowly flashing to either solid or rapidly flashing? And are you able to find the learn button on your gate's motor?

​@@HomeLinkGentex I continually over the years got asked by friends who buy/lease expensive Audi/BMWs to help them with their connection to the garage/gate opener. Homelink just NEVER is useful. Usually it cannot be used because you don't support the VERY common 27MHz/30MHz/40MHz devices at ALL. And when someone has something newer with a frequency you actually support, then Homelink has no support for it anyway (Example: Nice OX2 system). Also your compatibility guides are not very helpful, incomplete and just show a lack of care. Another example of a newer system is the Käuferle KHS 2.0. You don't even list this very popular brand (in Germany) in your (german!) compatibility document. And googling it shows it's not supported because supporting homelink would be a security risk and undermine the encryption of the KHS 2.0 system.

In the US, we're compatible with the vast majority of devices, but in Europe we're still building partnerships. Most newer garage doors and gates are moving away from the low band frequencies you mentioned, but you're right that the already-installed base is quite large. Since we can't go back in time to add compatibility for all of those devices, we do have a universal receiver which should enable most devices to be compatible with HomeLink.
